Tipman Tips use a points system to track profit and loss. To calculate your point value, simply divide your monthly budget into 100 points, it can be done with any budget and any value, for example:
* £50 Monthly Budget – 50p Point Value
* £100 Monthly Budget – £1 Point Value
* £200 Monthly Budget – £2 Point Value
So, in practice:

Beverley 15:45 – Smart Lass
1.5 points each-way
Smart Lass kept on well over half a furlong further at Musselburgh last time out when third. She was a length and a quarter ahead of Billy Bathgate, who has since gone and won at Ayr to boost the form. She gets in here on 1lb less than her last run and she is well entitled to go and boost that form again. She’s a consistent type who should be right in the mix in this company.
Beverley 16:15 – Casilli
1.5 points each-way
Casilli has a high draw to contend with but she is a serious performer over today’s course and distance, winning here four times. She has not been at her best recently but this represents a drop in grade and trainer Mick Easterby has said she will go very well with Billy Garritty sure to get a good tune out of her. She has lots in her favour and if further rain comes, that is no problem. She represents plenty of value at the prices given how much is in her favour.
Newbury 19:15 – Obsidian Knight
1.5 points each-way
Obsidian Knight managed to win for the third time at Lingfield in January and has kept some good form since when running a credible fifth in a handicap at Newmarket six weeks ago, which was in a class 2 contest and he now drops back down to class 4 company. He has a good draw and is a consistent type who represents some decent value in this smaller field.
