14:10 – Brabusach

This can go to BRABUSACH, who bumped into one at the top of his game at Nottingham just over three weeks ago and, with this longer trip holding no fears, he’s taken to open his account racing from the same mark. The main danger could emerge from Yesisaidyes, who hasn’t shown much so far but may well take a step forward now handicapping given his smart pedigree. Khangai and Man Made of Smoke can fight out third spot in an open race.

14:45 – Karakoy

This could develop into a match between KARAKOY and Spring Day, with preference for the former after having pulled clear of the remainder when runner-up on his first attempt at this trip at Lingfield back in March. That form is arguably the best on offer and he is bred to be useful. Andrew Balding’s filly remains with potential though, and she’s sure to give the selection plenty to think about, especially with this longer trip sure to be in her favour.

15:15 – Rhubarb

RHUBARB hasn’t won for almost a year, but all four of his wins have come at this course, including three over this course and distance, and he arrives in good form having finished placed at this venue on his last four starts. He shaped a bit better than the bare result last time, unable to lay up with an overly strong pace, but leaving the impression he is still in form. He is now 3 lb lower than his last winning mark and is fancied to resume winning ways. It remains early days for Zing Up with her current trainer and the three-year-old is feared most.

15:45 – Owners Dream

OWNERS DREAM improved as expected from his debut when runner-up in heavy ground at Thirsk last month, coping well with conditions but unlucky to bump into an improving filly. He again shaped encouragingly at Redcar last time, not knocked about and leaving the impression he has even more to offer. He has been found a weak event here and, while he will come into his own once stepping up in trip, he is more than capable of winning a race of this nature. Twice-raced Azahara Palace may be capable of better and rates the clear main danger.

16:15 – Harry The Haggler

HARRY THE HAGGLER remains a maiden but the form of his two runner-up efforts at Lingfield suggest he is up to winning a handicap or two from this sort of mark. He wasn’t suited by testing ground two starts back but found just a much improved handicap debutant too strong last time, doing his best work at the finish. He races from the same mark now and is well worth another try at a mile. Athene’s Kiss could be the one to give the selection most to think about, with Hitched completing the shortlist.

16:50 – Kimnkate

KIMNKATE opened her account in good style fitted with first-time blinkers at Lingfield four days ago, racing freely but displaying a nice turn of foot and she had plenty in hand at the line. It is no surprise that connections turn her out quickly under a penalty and she will be hard to beat if in the same form back on turf with Connor Planas’ 5-lb claim negating her penalty. The main danger could be Coral Reef who showed encouragement on her recent return, while Ubettabequick also merits consideration.

17:25 – Bonkersinabundance

BONKERSINABUNDANCE showed easily her best form to date dropped to six furlongs when getting off the mark at Brighton earlier this month and is totally unexposed as a sprinter so she is taken to follow up that success. Port Noir has been in good form back on turf in recent months and is second choice ahead of Connie’s Rose, who has a good record here but is arguably better suited by 5f these days.
