However, it is hard to get away from Godolphin’s ANCIENT WISDOM, who looked a smart prospect when surging clear at Haydock two weeks ago and may well be able to defy a penalty to make it 2-2.

Plenty have possibilities but the vote goes to dual winner SOPHIA’S STARLIGHT, who made a bold bid in a Class 2 handicap at Chester last Saturday and looks interesting on this drop back in trip and grade. Last-time-out winner My Delilah is feared most, although Pam Sly’s filly Torfrida is still unexposed and she’s open to more progress on her return to sprinting. Others who could be in the mix are Beau Roc and Just Janet.

This can go to the very well-bred IMPERIAL EMPEROR, who sets a high standard under a penalty for his impressive debut win in the autumn and represents a yard that won this race last year. The Gosdens’ Battista looks a likely improver upped in trip on his second start and he’s feared most, ahead of Sniper’s Eye who could find more progress on his drop to 1m. Another to keep an eye on is George Boughey’s newcomer Moonspirit.
15:17 Seal Of Solomon
An open race in which the vote goes to SEAL OF SOLOMON, who made it 6-14 in handicaps with his game win at Newbury two weeks ago and is a big player again back up in trip. Second choice is Nicky Henderson’s King Eagle, who swooped late when scoring at Bath in April and is open to more progress over this stiffer stamina test. State Legend ran well on his step up to 1m6f last time and has claims if he can back that up, while another to consider is C&D winner Single.

15:52 Wilde And Dandy (NAP)
Red Treasure battled well when scoring at Yarmouth on her seasonal return and is only 2lb higher here, while Hat Toss got off the mark at Sandown last week and he’s open to further progress. However, the vote goes to another recent winner in WILDE AND DANDY (nap), who justified support in good style at Doncaster on Sunday and looks well treated under a penalty for that emphatic success. Others who could be in the mix are Marinara and Concert Boy.

Several have possibilities in this competitive race. The resurgent 5yo Danzart (second choice) has won three in a row and remains well treated on his best form. Recent Chelmsford winner Hot Chesnut is respected back on turf, while Cubanista pulled a long way clear with the winner at Yarmouth last time and has claims if he can back that up. However, the vote goes to DION BAKER, who made a bold bid when a close second over 1m last time and is an interesting contender on this drop back in trip.

Joseph Parr’s 4yo THE GREEN MAN has raised his form to a new level recently and he had plenty in hand when completing a double at York last week. He still looks feasibly treated and is a major player again in his hat-trick bid. Triple sprint winner Ernie’s Valentine is feared most on his drop back to 6f, although Above is on a dangerous mark and has claims if he can build on his third at Leicester last time. Another to consider is Venturous, who looks interesting if he can recapture the form of his close second at Ayr last month.
