14:30 – La Guarida
Pearls And Rubies deserves to be at the top of the market but I like La Guarida for Richard Hannon and Kevin Stott. She shaped really well on her debut and she won at Goodwood last time out with a good bit in hand. That form has also held up and she’s got solid pedigree so she should do well over 7f. The only potential issue could be the stall 17 draw.
15:05 – Streets Of Gold (each way)
This isn’t a very strong Jersey Stakes and I’ve got doubts over Covey. I’ve landed on Streets Of Gold, who was very good last year. He won four in a row last season and while he disappointed on he reappearance at Newbury in the Greenham, he bounced back with a solid third behind Olivia Maralda in an Epsom listed race. He had a wind op before the Epsom run and he can show improvement.
15:40 – Rohaan
I’ve had Rohaan in mind for six months so I can’t back out now! He loves Ascot and he’s won the Wokingham twice. He was well beaten on his return this season but that happened last season too. That was a prep run for him but he will come on plenty for that outing. The faster they go, the better it suits him.
16:20 – Hukum
Hukum impressed me when winning the Brigadier Gerard and he closed last year’s Derby winner Desert Crown down very well. He’s got solid form and I fancy Hukum over Free Wind.

17:00 – Probe
I’ve been with Probe ever since his debut for Jennie Candlish, with Ryan Moore taking over the ride. He won easily at Wolverhampton on his first ride this season and he also won a couple of races back. His last run at Epsom didn’t go to plan but the race wasn’t run to suit him so I’m happy to put a line through that.
17:35 – Ziryab
I’m between Knockbrex and Ziryab. I wanted to wait and see whether Frankie Dettori took over the ride on Ziryab, however, Benoit de la Sayette is on board instead. Ziryab comes into this on the back of his win with something to spare in maiden company at Leicester earlier this month.
18:10 – The Grand Visir (each way)
I’m having an each-way go on The Grand Visir for Ian Williams with Richard Kingscote on board. He stays all day and he’s only had a couple of runs in the last two years. He should take the quick ground and he can win a staying race off a short break.
