18:00 – Chronogragh
This looks like a good opportunity for Chronograph who was only narrowly denied at Chester last time. Chronograph, who was fitted with cheekpieces for the first time, had the run of the race at Chester but it was still a fair effort and he holds obvious claims in this weak maiden. The main danger could be the newcomer Eagle Fang who has a nice pedigree being out of a German Group 2 winner who has produced several winners.
18:35 – Angle Lad
Angle Land bagged three handicaps on the all-weather over the winter and proved better than ever when scoring at Goodwood last month. She ran respectably when sixth in the Dash at Epsom last time, sticking to her task well despite not having a great deal of room to work with, and she ought to give another good account in this less competitive event.

19:10 – Chaturanga
Chaturanga was well backed on his debut at Redcar last month and he justified that support with an impressive success, quickening seven and a half lengths clear. That was just an ordinary maiden but it’s difficult to knock Chaturanga based on the style of that success and he looks up to defying a penalty.
19:40 – Sea Grey
Sea Grey has been below his best the last twice but he looks fairly treated based on his runner-up effort over this course and distance in April. Sea Grey is able to run off a 1 lb lower mark here and a reproduction of that effort would put him firmly in the mix. A couple of his efforts from last season also suggest that he’s on a decent mark and he is worth siding with.

20:10 – Pearl Eye
Pearl Eye showed improved form to land a mile handicap here on his penultimate start and he also ran well when third at Pontefract last time, going like the best horse at the weights but conceding first run after being short of room over a furlong out. Pearl Eye kept on nicely after getting the gap, doing well to get to within half a length and a head of the winner, and he could still have a bit more to offer, with this step up in trip promising to unlock a bigger effort.
20:40 – Cassy O
Cassy O has tumbled in the weights since winning at Redcar last June but offered hope he is ready to win again when runner-up at Doncaster last Sunday. Cassy O was only narrowly denied at Doncaster, losing out by a nose after being headed close home, and he can take advantage of a mark that is 15 lb lower than the one he defied at Redcar.
