17:26 – INDISPENSABLE
INDISPENSABLE failed to build on her encouraging debut effort as expected when runner-up over six furlongs at Goodwood last month but that was still a solid enough display and a repeat may well be enough to see her off the mark at the third attempt now returned to the minimum trip in what looks a winnable race. Full Gambit was getting the hang of things late on when third on debut at Catterick three weeks ago and can also figure with improvement on the cards.
18:01 – BONDI BAY
This looks like a potential match on paper between BONDI BAY and Bright with preference for the former. She started a big price but made a most promising start to her career when runner-up at Salisbury last month, especially as she is bred to excel over further. That experience will have sharpened her up, though, and she can take advantage of the weight she receives from Bright, who has been well found in the betting on both starts and should appreciate this step up in trip.
18:35 – KHINJANI
KHINJANI showed promise in three starts at around a mile last season and, though she was easy to back on her return to action at Redcar last month, she improved on her juvenile form making her handicap debut up in trip. She was doing all of her best work at the finish, suggesting she’ll have no problem staying even further, but that was a good race for the grade and the form is working out, so she is well worth a chance to build on that effort having been left on the same mark. Bloomwithgrace, now stepped up in trip, and Dungar Glory are others fancied to be in the mix.

19:10 – ROCK OF ENGLAND
ROCK OF ENGLAND was unlucky in-running two starts back and showed much improved form fitted with first-time blinkers when resuming winning ways at Hamilton last week. He wasn’t fazed by the drop back to six furlongs, given a positive ride and going clear in the final furlong. It is no surprise connections have turned him out under a penalty and a similarly positive ride is sure to see him to good effect at this track. Mutaany had excuses at Newmarket and remains of interest, with hat-trick seeking Another Baar best of the others.
19:40 – ARRANGE
A tight handicap in which a chance is taken on first-time cheekpieces giving ARRANGE a bit extra. Her last win came at Musselburgh in August last year and she came on for her reappearance when runner-up over 13 furlongs at Hamilton two weeks ago, plugging on in the closing stages. That effort should have put another edge on her and it would be no surprise to see her take another step forward given how well she finished off last season. Knightswood returns to the scene of his win at the start of the month and is second choice ahead of Captain Kane, who should benefit from the return to a mile and a half.
20:10 – GINATO
This is a very uninspiring race where it is hard to make a case for any. GINATO is hardly a winning machine, but he has been contesting much stronger races than this and he may be liberated by a drop in class. Flavius Titus should be spot on fitness-wise and he’s a threat, along with Gullane One.
20:40 – HOT SCOOP
This could be a reasonable race for the grade with several of these lurking on a dangerous mark. None more so than, HOT SCOOP, who would have finished even closer at Nottingham last week with a clear run. He has been dropped in the weights since, which leaves him now 1 lb below his last winning mark, so could be ready to strike. Canaria Prince and Golden Gal are a couple of threats.
