14:30 – Juniper Berries (each-way)

JUNIPER BERRIES looked really good on her racecourse debut at Bath but slightly disappointed somewhat after that at Salisbury. We can give her another chance now though as she ran with the choke out and was never going to finish off with any real impetus after that. She’s better than that and is a massive each-way price.

15:05 – Mukaddamah (each-way)

Hasn’t tried this trip since very early on in her career and has run against some real decent types including Nashwa and Magical Lagoon in the Ribblesdale at the Royal meeting last year. MUKADDAMAH drops into a handicap now and although this will be very rough with all these runners on the round mile, she has a good inside position.

15:40 – Grande Dame

The team have been very patient with GRANDE DAME and she returns off a 263 day absence. Her ability to go well fresh is not in doubt and Jamie Spencer comes in for the ride over a course and distance that he rides particularly well. Expect him to have a target on the back of Frankie Dettori on the favourite Prosperous Voyage as he tries to pounce late.

16:20 – Adayar

What a fantastic line-up and a super race. We have to enjoy it and the former Derby winner, ADAYAR, can come out on top in what is an incredibly tight contest. His return to action was pretty spectacular, and he now jumps back up into the top level, where he belongs with American Raider likely to prove the rabbit up on the front to aim at.

17:00 – Perotto & Ouzo (each-way)

PEROTTO is a little bit of a cliff horse of mine, but he’s drawn with all of the pace, and his course and distance record speaks for itself, he put up an eye-catching run last time over a furlong shorter.

OUZO was unlucky in the 2021 renewal but has been given time after a fairly decent winter in Dubai. He runs the track well and he’s massively overpriced each-way.

17:35 – Circle Of Fire

CIRCLE OF FIRE hasn’t had much luck on his two races so far this season, including in the Derby trial at Lingfield, he was stuck in a pocket behind a wall of horses when the leaders had gone. Stepping up in trip is definitely going to suit him and this looks a perfect stepping stone for him to leapfrog towards the top of the market for the St Leger at Doncaster.

18:10 – Fandom

FANDOM looks like a very lively American raider, who clocked a very quick time on his racecourse debut in Kentucky showing blistering pace. He might just be off and gone by the time the home contingent have got organised and into a rhythm. You can pick holes in the form of plenty in the line-up and the Windsor Castle prize could be heading Stateside.
