I liked Relief Rally’s wins at Windsor and Salisbury – and she can outrun her odds and ranks an each-way alternative. I was also really impressed with Princess Chizara when she won at Bath last time out in a really good time.

Mick Fitzgerald

Karl Burke is no stranger to the winners enclosure at Ascot. BEAUTIFUL DIAMOND cost 360,000 guineas at the Breeze Up sales. It looked like money well spent when she bolted in first time up.

Jason Weaver

JUNIPER BERRIES looked really good on her racecourse debut at Bath but slightly disappointed somewhat after that at Salisbury. We can give her another chance each-way at the prices.

Matt Chapman

Born to Rock made a winning debut and she was impressive but RELIEF RALLY scored at Salisbury last time and I like her attitude.

Timeform

Karl Burke won this last year with Dramatised and BEAUTIFUL DIAMOND could be another potential star for the stable given the way she powered clear in a Nottingham maiden two weeks ago.

Ruby Walsh

Crystal Caprice, Tamarama and Indian Wish are all drawn really high and I can feel a tricast coming on! Farhh To Shy could also be thrown in too. I can’t really decide so take your pick!

Mick Fitzgerald

Owen Burrows’ TARRABB enjoys a healthy pull in the weights with Crystal Caprice who beat her in September. With a decent comeback run at Chelmsford under her belt, she gets the nod now.

Jason Weaver

MUKADDAMAH (each-way) has competed at the top table but drops into a handicap now and although this will be very rough with all these runners on the round mile, she has a good inside position to hit the places at least.

Matt Chapman

I’ll risk DON’T TELL CLAIRE (each-way) as the mare has plenty of decent form at Ascot and was far from disgraced when third here in May.

Timeform

Plenty arrive with claims, including LADY EROS who looked well served by the drop back to 1m when seeing off a next-time-out winner at Yarmouth three weeks ago.

Ruby Walsh

JUMBLY is my nap of the day. I was at the Curragh when she tried to come from way off the pace. She did well to even deliver a challenge that day and I’m with her to go one better.

Mick Fitzgerald

Connections forked out £1.25 million for JUMBLY at the sales and her run at the Curragh last time behind Just Beautiful, looks the perfect warm-up for this contest. Ryan Moore is booked to ride for trainer Joseph O’Brien and this is a golden opportunity for her to win a big prize.

Jason Weaver

The team have been very patient with GRANDE DAME and she returns off a 263- day absence. Her ability to go well fresh is not in doubt and Jamie Spencer will have a target on Frankie Dettori’s back.

Matt Chapman

PROSPEROUS VOYAGE did us a favour at Epsom and I’m happy to stick with her for Frankie Dettori and Ralph Beckett. When she brings her ‘A’ game she’s much better than this lot.

Timeform

JUMBLY is very much bred to progress with age, and having won in Group company on the round course here last term, she’s taken to build on a highly encouraging return at the Curragh and come out on top.

Ruby Walsh

I thought  Luxembourg was finished after his seasonal debut but was unrecognisable when winning the Tattersalls Gold Cup. He was brilliant. He can improve again to win this contest.

Mick Fitzgerald

You will struggle to get a better specimen of a thoroughbred than ADAYAR. He is a beast. He won nicely at Newmarket on his comeback run. A little bit of rain will do no harm as he hits the ground hard when galloping and he can get the better of Luxembourg.

Jason Weaver

The former Derby winner, ADAYAR, can come out on top in what is an incredibly tight contest. His return to action was pretty spectacular, and he now jumps back up into the top level, where he belongs.

Matt Chapman

There is every chance LUXEMBOURG will get an easy lead here – but even if he doesn’t he’s got to go close. He could be very hard to peg back if quickening to the front.

Timeform

A high-class renewal, with preference for LUXEMBOURG to provide Aidan O’Brien with a fifth victory in the contest. He ran to a similar level as when winning the Irish Champion with a determined success in the Tattersalls Gold Cup last month, so he is taken to get the better of the 2021 Derby/King George winner Adayar.

Ruby Walsh

The Royal Hunt Cup is a real cavalry charge I’ve got five that I fancy for Paddy’s Pick 5 competition.  Perotto, Intellogent, Atrium, Bless Him and Sonny Liston. I’m keen on Intellogent to win in though.

Mick Fitzgerald

Daniel & Claire Kubler do really well with their string in Lambourn and they bought ASTRO KING from Sir Michael Stoute. He is only a six-year-old and has run some good races at Ascot in the past, notably when fourth in this contest last year. It was a really good run at York behind Croupier and he has to be a player now from stall 12, drawn more or less in the middle.

Jason Weaver

PEROTTO is well drawn with all of the pace around him. His course and distance record speaks for itself and he appears well handicapped. Ouza is the each-way play at the prices.

Matt Chapman

ASTRO KING (each-way) was fourth in this in 2022 and second in 2021 and can make it thitd time lucky for new connections. His placed runs came on  ratings of 102 and 98 so a mark of 99 is certainly workable.

Timeform

As usual, stacks with chances but PEROTTO is simply too well handicapped to ignore. He offered enough when keeping on for seventh in the Victoria Cup over 7f here last month to think new trainer Roger Varian has him in form and he’s 3lb lower than when landing the Britannia at this meeting in 2021.

Ruby Walsh

I’m with Peking Opera for Ryan Moore and Aidan O’Brien who has just done enough to win his last two starts. I don’t fancy Gregory who is the likely favourite.

Mick Fitzgerald

It’s probably about time, I tipped a Frankie Dettori ridden horse! He will bring the house down if he wins on GREGORY who looks the ideal candidate to do that. He is bred to stay and he certainly looked good when winning at Goodwood.

Jason Weaver

CIRCLE OF FIRE hasn’t had much luck in his two races so far this season, including the Derby trial at Lingfield. Stepping up in trip should help and he will quickly shorten in the betting for the St Leger if winning here.

Matt Chapman

It’s very easy to stick with GREGORY for John & Thady Gosden and Frankie Dettori. This son of Golden Horn has won both starts and was impressive at Goodwood last time. The step up in trip should be right up his street too.

Timeform

GREGORY has made a big impression on both starts to date and he’s the sort to relish the extra distance, so he’s an obvious choice to maintain his unbeaten record.

Ruby Walsh

Barnwell Boy can send favourite backers home happy. I was really impressed with him at Goodwood and I’m not worried about the drop to 5f. He’ll do me!

Mick Fitzgerald

Wesley Ward’s FANDOM doesn’t run so  Barnwell Boy gets the nod.

Jason Weaver

FANDOM doesn’t run as he ran yesterday.

Matt Chapman

I’m happy to chance MAXIMUM IMPACT who really impressed me when getting his second success in a small field at Ascot last time. An each-way chance in a wide-open race.

Timeform

This has a very open feel to it, with JOHANNES BRAHMS just about the most appealing candidate for his powerful connections. The Naas race he won hasn’t worked out brilliantly, but he overcame inexperience on that occasion and is sure to know more this time.
