13:30 – Kingswood Flyer
KINGSWOOD FLYER produced a promising first effort when finishing third at Leicester a couple of weeks ago, running on well to be beaten only five lengths. He fared best of those who raced towards the disadvantaged stands rail and that run is sure to bring him on. A couple of interesting newcomers feature among the opposition in this novice event, but Kingswood Flyer is fancied to put his experience to good use to get off the mark at the second attempt.
14:05 – Coup De Force
COUP DE FORCE ran another solid race when finishing third on her most recent outing at Bath, holding every chance entering the final furlong before her effort flattened out. She still passed the post just a length and a quarter behind the winner and the way she shaped there suggests the drop back to five furlongs today will be in her favour. A reliable sort, Coup de Force can line up here from an unchanged mark and seems to be thereabouts once again.
14:40 – Crown Estate
CROWN ESTATE was very green on his debut at Haydock last week, but he shaped well by the end, staying on nicely under a hands-and-heels ride to finish clear of the rest in fourth (beaten six and a half lengths). He is sure to improve with that experience under his belt – perhaps significantly so – and winning a maiden like this should be the bare minimum for one with his illustrious pedigree (by Dubawi and out of the French 1000 Guineas winner Castle Lady).
15:15 – Sweet Reward
SWEET REWARD returned to form with a good second at Newbury last month, sticking to his task well to lose out by just a short head. The first two pulled clear of the remainder and Sweet Reward should mount a bold bid to go one place better despite being 5lb higher in the weights today. After all, he remains potentially well treated, judged on the pick of his old form, lining up here from the same mark as when suffering another narrow defeat at Goodwood in July last year.

15:50 – Penzance
PENZANCE took a marked step forward when filling the runner-up spot on his handicap debut at Chelmsford last week, ultimately proving no match for the progressive winner (beaten a length and three-quarters) but faring much the best of the rest. He still looked far from the finished article when hanging left late on, so the application of cheekpieces for the first time today should help to eke out a bit more improvement. Trained by Simon and Ed Crisford, who have their team in good nick (77% of horses running to form), Penzance will be very tough to beat from an unchanged mark.
16:25 – Zoukster
ZOUKSTER has won his last two starts in good style, first opening his account at Salisbury last month and then defying a 6lb higher mark to follow up at Goodwood seven days ago. He was well on top at the finish on the last occasion, forging clear late on to land the spoils by two lengths. He escapes a penalty for that success and is hard to oppose in his hat-trick bid, with further progress on the cards after just six starts for the in-form Ed Walker (77% of horses running to form).
17:00 – Trooper Bisdee
TROOPER BISDEE left his previous form behind after seven months off when making a winning handicap debut at Yarmouth a couple of weeks ago, proving very well suited by the step up in distance. The official winning margin was just a neck, but he was arguably value for extra having idled inside the final furlong. He steps up in trip again today and looks the type to rack up a sequence as he progresses through the ranks, with a 3lb rise in the weights almost certainly not enough to stop him here.
