17:20 – Indivar

Those with form aren’t wildly appealing, though Havanarama (tentative second choice) will go well if replicating his debut effort and Strong Request is probably capable of a lot more than he showed at Ripon. However, INDIVAR fetched a lot of money at the Tattersalls Breeze-Up Sale in April and he’s got a nice pedigree to boot.

17:50 – Bay Dream Believer

This looks open. BAY DREAM BELIEVER has struck form for her new yard and could be capable of going in again. Super Stars was a closing fourth here last time and he’s second choice ahead of Viva Voce and Revoquable.

18:25 – Streetscape

No recent winning form in sight but opportunity knocks for one of these. STREETSCAPE could be the answer if seeing out this longer trip. Baez edges preference for second choice ahead of Billy Bathgate.

19:00 – Garden Oasis

Hortzadar looks a winner waiting to happen off his current mark but this fast ground is not absolutely ideal for him. Preference is for GARDEN OASIS on the back of his bold show at Pontefract. Rory has done surprisingly well since raised in distance and he can also be involved.

19:35 – Churchella

Breguet Boy has solid claims in his current form but he is thoroughly exposed, whereas CHURCHELLA is having only her fifth start. Her fourth run, on handicap debut, was her best yet by a long way. Alpina Express could be on a fair mark for her handicap debut if tapping into her initial promise.

20:10 – Mereside Angel (NAP)

All seven have chances. One Last Hug (second choice) must hold every hope of reversing last week’s course placings with the penalised Stay Smart, who may also struggle to beat Bonito Cavalo. Another one to consider strongly is MERESIDE ANGEL (NAP) who is running well and should be suited by this drop in grade.

20:45 – Ahamoment

An open race with several in-form contenders. AHAMOMENT found plenty when challenged by Merricourt at Musselburgh recently and this unexposed 4yo can reasonably be expected to do better again despite going back up 4lb. Classy Al (second choice) was fancied for a better race than this last time out and although he let his supporters down he still appeals as the type to do better this year. Emily Post is preferred of the remainder.
