DIAMOND HAZE represents a decent chance here for Michael Dods. He’s a regular around here and has finished in the money in five of his nine starts here, winning twice. His last win here came off a 1lb higher mark so he’s well handicapped on that form.
Against some older rivals today and should really appreciate the return to faster ground. Was disappointing here on his last start which probably is reflective in the price but think he’s well worth a chance today and expect him to get shorter.
17:00 – Thirsk – Jamih
1.5 points each-way
JAMIH is another horse here at Thirsk who has a very good record around here and represents a really decent chance today. Raced here three times, winning once and placing on the other two occasions. Has two runs this season, beaten by 2 lengths and a length so clearly ticking along nicely as he gets up to full fitness. Remains on the same mark as the close up 4th last time out and was a winner here in August on good to firm. Should be right in the mix here.
17:30 – Wolverhampton – Caracristi
1.5 points each-way
CARACRISTI looks great value here and is shorter with other firms than the 9/1 available which I don’t expect to last. She is 1lb below her last winning mark which was here at Wolverhampton and overall has a very good record here. Jockey retained who’s ridden her well on plenty of occasions and with a 5lb claim to boot. Good draw in stall 2 and is usually away well and handy, raced here 8 times with 5 places, winning twice. Very good chance if running to form at a big price.
