13:10 – Willing To Please

Willing To Please has been in good form of late and ran well to finish third at Hamilton last time. She was the only one not ridden prominently to make an impact at Hamilton and, having been around four lengths down entering the final furlong, kept on well to get to within a length and three-quarters of the winner. The return to this longer trip should suit Willing To Please who remains on a competitive mark.

13:40 – Kylian

Kylian was sent off a short-priced favourite on debut at York and, while he was unable to justify that support, he showed ability in third. The way he travelled through that contest was encouraging and he ought to improve for that experience. He sets a good standard for the others to aim at.

14:15 – Princess Karine

Princess Karine is a consistent sort and only narrowly failed at Carlisle last time when headed in the final strides. That was the fourth time from four starts this season that Princess Karine has been placed and, having impressed with how fluently she travelled through the race last time, she looks like a big player off the same mark here.

14:50 – B Associates

B Associates has been in good order this season and beat a subsequent winner when getting off the mark last time at Musselburgh, where the runner-up pulled four and a half lengths clear of the third. B Associates is also engaged at Carlisle on Thursday evening, however, so if he doesn’t take part the best option could be Zebadaay who produced his best effort yet when runner-up at Wolverhampton last month.

15:25 – Little Red Dancer

Little Red Dancer raised her game when successful at Catterick last week and could be up to defying a penalty in a weak race. Little Red Dancer was given a good front-running ride at Catterick, making full use of the inside stall, but at least that showed she’s in good form, which gives her the edge over most of these.

16:05 – Slippin Jimmy

Slippin Jimmy ran well to finish third on his return at Newcastle last month, finding only a pair of unexposed sorts with race fitness on their side too strong. He is entitled to be sharper with that outing under his belt and this step up in trip offers further scope for improvement.

16:45 – La Feile

La Feile has been given a chance by the handicapper and she ran well to finish runner-up at Catterick last time in a better grade than she need contest, splitting another couple of horses worth being positive about. This looks like a better opening for La Feile who is able to run off the same mark as last time, which is 3 lb lower than her last winning mark.

17:16 – Tarbat Ness

Tarbat Ness is still searching for a first win but has shown improved form the last twice, finishing runner-up at Redcar and then running to a similar level when third at Pontefract last time. He did well to finish as close as he did at Pontefract given the strong hold he took in one of the longest races in the calendar and, back down in trip here, he ought to give a good account.
