15:10 Beverley – Ugo Gregory (Tipman)
UGO GREGORY has three C&D wins on good and soft ground and knocking on the door at about 1m here this month, following a close second (to one who completed a three-timer since) with a fair fourth. On the premises back at 7f.
15:20 Hamilton – Swiss Ace (The Guardian)
SWISS ACE was well backed when winning a 7f handicap on the AW at Newcastle in March (off this mark). He has remained in form since and dropping back into a Class 4 can help. Billy Loughnane is 2-3 for the stable and he’s one to take very seriously.
17:03 Newton Abbot – Only Fools (Jason Heavey)
ONLY FOOLS has two 1m4f wins on the Flat in France but she’s finished down the field in four hurdle runsfor new yard this year. Kept plugging on when fifth in a Huntingdon handicap (2m, good) last time but she needs to significantly raise her game on the step up to this trip. Hood reapplied.
20:10 Warwick – Fortunate Fred (Farringdon)
FORTUNATE FRED placed in four of his six races at up to 2m5f over hurdles. Well beaten sixth in a Ffos Las handicap on chase debut (2m, soft) but that form has worked out surprisingly well. First run on good to firm. The only one in the handicap and a chance in a weak event.
