13:55 – His Majesty

Ryan Moore has opted to go with Democracy for Aidan O’Brien but His Majesty makes just as much appeal to me. He won a five-runner Listed race at this track earlier this month and can improve again.

15:05 – Ottilien

Ottilien ran away with Dylan Browne McMonagle at Cork on her Irish debut when last behind Moracanna. However, the hood goes back on now and we should see a much better effort that matches her form when trained in the UK. The rest look much of a muchness and while the 1m 4f trip will be a little sharp for Charles Byrnes’ Run for Oscar. He’s probably going to be more at home in the Ascot Stakes next month at the Royal meeting.

15:40 – Paddington

Royal Scotsman looked a little unlucky at Newmarket and people are making a lot of Hi Royal hanging left in the closing stages of the English 2,000 Guineas. However, the Curragh is a different test and hanging left won’t help his chances. I’ve been impressed with Paddington this season having won the Madrid Handicap and then followed that up in the Tetrach Stakes at this venue. He looks to be improving rapidly for Team Ballydoyle.
