THUNDER BLUE, beautifully bred colt who is bred for speed looks to have a solid pedigree for a race like this one especially with the fast ground today. Lots of unknowns in these types of races but often plenty of value can be found. Trainer has done very well with two-year-olds this season and Amo Racing LTD. have had plenty of winners to start the season.

15:30 – Haydock – Beelzebub

1.5 points each-way

Dark Angel’s colt BEELZEBUB has shown a good standard so far but hasn’t been raced on faster ground until today which should really suit in terms of pedigree. Andrew Balding’s horse Chasseral at the head of the market does look useful but may want a bit further than this trip today. Open looking race and has solid claims.

17:40 – Haydock – Sunfyre

1.5 points each-way

SUNFYRE made a promising handicap debut when finishing third on a return from break so coming in on the same mark seems quite generous and a great price for an each-way play for sure. Is going to come on for the effort last time out and has a very progressive profile.

16:10 – Catterick – So Grateful

1.5 points each-way

SO GRATEFUL was a good runner-up two weeks ago and is back in good shape. That last run was on good to soft going, he ran three nice races this time last year on quicker ground so that looks to be a positive in this handicap. He was racing off a 10lb higher mark on the all-weather three starts back, so he seems nicely treated at the weights.
