Horse Racing tips: A 13/2 play leads the way at Catterick today

The Racing Post tipster likes Jupiter Express in the 16:10.

14:10 – Peace Wall
14:40 – Astapor
15:10 – Prosper Legend
15:40 – Ghost Lights
16:10 – Jupiter Express
16:40 – Star Guest
17:12 – Mr Jetman

14:10 – Peace Wall

Ed Dunlop is an outstanding 7-16 with 2yos here and Grey Gray has the experience to be able to take advantage of the inside stall, but she’s starting to look vulnerable now. PEACE WALL shaped nicely on her recent debut and gets the vote. Lotting’s Lass looks the most interesting newcomer.

14:40 – Astapor

A field that knows each other quite well and today’s rematch can be taken by ASTAPOR, who is in good form and was a shade unlucky not to make it back-to-back C&D wins last time. His biggest danger could come from Golden Gal, whom he is closely matched with on their latest running. Aconcagua Mountain should be thereabouts and a revived Hot Scoop would also be a likely player.

15:10 – Prosper Legend

The William Haggas-trained PROSPER LEGEND holds leading claims following his good third at Windsor last month and he’s open to further improvement for his top trainer. Night At Sea is another who can continue to progress and is next on the list, ahead of Merrijig.

15:40 – Ghost Lights

There isn’t much depth to this race and it could be a good opportunity for GHOST LIGHTS to break his duck. He arrives on the back of a personal best and he looks more likely than most to continue making progress. Tantalus may give him the most to do now back on a sound surface. Chamber Choir should be competitive and if anything is to make a significant step up on previous efforts, it might be Azaim.

16:10 – Jupiter Express

This looks open. Stellar Queen would be a danger to all if she has the pace for this, dropping in trip, while both Wade’s Magic and So Grateful come here on the back of good performances and can again be involved. However, JUPITER EXPRESS showed there is still some ability there on the first of two starts in as many days at Brighton. He is just preferred, in the hope that new headgear might just give him the edge from the inside stall.

16:40 – Star Guest

There’s surely more to come from STAR GUEST, who missed the kick and pulled hard before cracking late over Newmarket’s stiff 1m back from a break last Thursday. Centrefold is also open to improvement if she settles from the outside stall, while Poet’s Magic’s record on comeback entitles her to some respect among the older brigade.

17:12 – Mr Jetman

The 3yo MR JETMAN (nap) was a hot favourite when winning a big-field handicap at Thirsk on Monday and is taken to defy a 6lb penalty and follow up. Oh So Audacious was an encouraging fourth over 1m at Brighton on last month’s stable debut and is feared most now back down in trip, while Obee Jo and Mutanaaseq were first and second respectively over C&D last Monday and are others to consider.
