Red Walls loves it round here and although he can be a bit inconsistent at times, his record at Wolverhampton is generally very good. He has shown promise on his last couple of starts and he’s on a mark of 57 now, 3lbs lower than his last winning mark. He should be very competitive again.
Brighton 15:23 – Shalfa

Shalfa is an unexposed four-year-old who made the switch from Dubai to the UK at the start of last season. She’s been consistent in her efforts with her sole win so far coming over today’s course and distance. She’s a nicely bred type who’s open to all kinds of improvement and has had the benefit of blowing the cobwebs away with a run last time out. She should strip fitter than her rivals and she has a good draw in stall two. She has a big chance against some older rivals.
Wolverhampton 16:10 – Born Ruler
3 points win
Born Ruler is a beautifully bred three-year-old who has shown plenty of promise to land the spoils over this course back in January under today’s jockey Luke Morris. Further improvement will be needed but the Kingman colt is well entitled to step up again and the increase in trip looks a real positive.
Wolverhampton 16:40 – Dame Laura Knight
1.5 points each way
Dame Laura Knight has had four career runs and her best effort came 33 days ago on her handicap debut when only beaten a length. It was the infamous race in which Concord was eased right down and lost on the line. She was never going to win the race but Concord is now rated a huge 25lb higher. She can improve and this is a low grade contest. She also has William Buick taking over in the saddle which is only positive.
