Horse Racing tips: A 10/1 pick tops our list at Huntingdon today

14:30 – Call Me Tara

Madiba Passion is the only one with chasing experience and the form he showed when second on his final two starts last season makes him of strong interest. However, handicap debutante CALL ME TARA returned from a break with a pleasing hurdle run last month and is the one with most potential.

15:00 – Qoya (NAP)

This can go to QOYA (NAP) who ran well for a long way when third in a course and distance (C&D) fillies’ race in March and, if her Flat form is a guide, could be on a good mark for today’s handicap hurdle debut. Last-time-out winner Well Done Dani is not yet fully exposed and ought to make her presence felt, while Ceci Wells took a good step forward when fitted with blinkers last time and is next on the list.

15:30 – Baileys Derbyday

A few of these have possibilities in this run-of-the-mill maiden but top of the list is BAILEYS DERBYDAY, who was among the best of these on the Flat and made an encouraging stable/hurdle debut a fortnight ago. Fandabidozi doesn’t help himself by tending to race too freely but he was a creditable third over 2m4f here 12 days ago and may benefit from this drop in trip. Sisterandbrother has also shown significant hurdling ability.

16:00 – Letsby Avenue

This most appealing option in this uncompetitive chase is LETSBE AVENUE, who may not have had the race run to suit when fourth over 2m at Ludlow last month and can benefit from today’s step up in trip, having shown good stamina to win over 2m2f off today’s mark in December. C&D winner Out The Glen could be tough to beat in this grade if revitalised by the first-time cheekpieces, while Agent Saonois is another possible if back on song.

16:30 – Caius Marcius

Judicial Law finished well to score at Worcester a fortnight ago and is evidently back in good nick but the old-timer CAIUS MARCIUS belied market weakness to win over 2m4f last month, after a break, and today’s trip may suit him better nowadays. With capable 7lb claimer Conor Rabbitt enlisted, he might win for the fourth time in a row. Ask A Honey Bee comes here after a good effort and is also considered.

17:00 – The Whistle Blower

Kaproyale posted a decent effort Stratford last month while Homme D’un Soir (second choice) is back under rules after a good point run. However, THE WHISTLE BLOWER put in a very good front-running shift before eventually capitulating in a good-quality 4m hunter chase at Cheltenham this month and is taken to dominate this easier race.

17:30 – Red Force One

Pass The Love On is open to improvement on her handicap debut, while Dellboy Trotter (second choice) comes here after a good effort nine days ago and may appear late on the scene. However, this is a significant drop in grade for RED FORCE ONE, who shaped as though today’s move back up in trip will suit when fifth over 2m1f at Cheltenham last month. He gets the nod.
