Saturday’s Lucky 15 Tips
Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
Most of these have something to prove. In the case of LADY TREMAINE, it’s whether she copes with good ground and it’s worth chancing that she does. Oceans Red is next best, despite six months off, with Heart Of A Lion quite interesting on his first stab at 3m.
Roger Varian and Clive Cox, both successful in this event in recent years, are represented by fascinating candidates. Varian’s Revenite (second choice) was highly progressive last term and hardly looks overburdened on his handicap debut, while Cox’s Eminency is on a retrieval mission after looking desperately unlucky at Kempton last month. Others with claims in a warm event are the reliable Mutaany and the fast-improving pair Quinault and Expert Agent, but the verdict goes to WASHINGTON HEIGHTS whose stable has been among the winners at York this week. Boasting a rock-solid profile, he can go one better than at the Guineas meeting two weeks ago.
This promises to be another strong renewal, as signposted by Group entries among those at the top of the weights and plenty of potential among those lower down. EXOPLANET shaped well behind Military Order over C&D on his reappearance and may well have the class to prevail now that he makes his handicap debut, with Mr Mistoffelees perhaps the main danger after showing promise for this longer trip when facing a very stiff task in the Craven. Desert Hero and Bertinelli represent very strong stables and also go on the shortlist.
Having travelled like a winner approaching the last, WALKING THE WALK was effectively outstayed by Ocean Legacy at Downpatrick but over this less demanding finish Gordon Elliott’s charge could take revenge on that rival, who is a reserve here. Goodnightgodbless has had loads of chances but could go well here with conditions to suit. Hardy Bloke remains on a nice mark but has to jump better.
