Persian Dreamer is a big filly who was well supported when winning comfortably at Newmarket on debut. That was on good to soft ground but York’s faster surface shouldn’t be a problem today. I was super impressed with how she finished at HQ. The big danger looks to be Got To Love A Grey who was really impressive when winning at Nottingham. She hit the line hard and is no pushover.

14.25 Sounds Of Heaven (each way)
This Irish-trained filly, Sounds of Heaven, created a good impression when winning a maiden at Leopardstown for Jessica Harrington, beating a good yardstick of Aidan O’Brien’s in Boogie Woogie, who has since finished sixth in Group One company in France. It’s very interesting that her shrewd trainer sends over this daughter of Kingman and she has a very good chance of being placed at least.
15:00 Eetee
The bottom weight, Eetee, represents David O’Meara who loves training winners at York. Andrea Atzeni has been booked after Rossa Ryan did the steering when winning at Haydock last time.
15:35 Broome
The Hughie Morrison-trained Quickthorn was a little underwhelming in Dubai behind Broome last time. He loves York though, as he showed when winning the Lonsdale Cup over two miles last season. This 1m6f trip is not as strong a staying test as he may though so I’ll take Broome to come out on top again.
16:10 Kathab
Kathab finished runner-up to Passenger on debut and that one endured an interrupted run in the Dante Stakes here yesterday. Many felt he could have finished a lot closer than his fourth-place finish behind The Foxes and looks a live Derby contender. The market won’t miss Kathab to build on that debut run now.
