She showed plenty of natural ability on her racecourse debut when winning at Newmarket to take up the running at the top of the hill to win by any amount in hand over her rivals. Persian Dreamer wasn’t cheap at €145,000 at the sales, but she looks good.
14:05 Newbury – Wind Your Neck In
David Evans’ runner went missing last season after showing a good level of form as a juvenile in 2021. His return run was a big step back in the right direction, when rallying late on to finish second over 1m at Bath The step up to 1m 2f should suit perfectly and Wind Your Neck In looks well treated and can get back to winning ways.

14.25 York – Queen For You
The Gosdens’ filly was a standout in the paddocks for her debut at Ascot 16 days ago. It is no surprise that Queen For You takes the step up into Listed company on her second start as she travelled beautifully in behind the leaders that day and immediately responded for pressure once given daylight. We don’t know yet just how good she can be.
15:00 York – Majestic (each-way)
Majestic looks to have a massive each-way chance judged on his return run in the Lincoln at Doncaster when fourth but didn’t follow that up at Newmarket, where he just seemed at ease in the conditions. Majestic returns to a much quicker service today and can prove that last effort all wrong and get a slice of the action.
15:35 York – Siskany
The Godolphin runner was only just picked off late on in the Dubai Gold Cup by Broome last time and is 3lb better off with that rival now for a neck defeat. Siskany drops down slightly in trip but appears to have more tactical pace over this 1m 6f distance and has a fitness edge over the St Leger champ Eldar Eldarov.
16:10 York – Ziryab
Another Gosden runner who could improve plenty for his debut effort when running an eye-catching race from off the pace after a slow start at Yarmouth 24 days ago. Ziryab wasn’t given a hard time in the closing stages and can step up dramatically from the initial racecourse experience.
