13:50 – Persian Dreamer
PERSIAN DREAMER looked an above-average prospect when making an impressive winning debut at Newmarket last month, hitting the front over a furlong out and quickly asserting from there to win by three and a quarter lengths. That performance was backed up by the clock and there should be plenty more to come from her with the run under her belt. A smart filly in the making, she is fancied to make it two from two in this listed event to confirm herself a potential Royal Ascot contender.
14.25 – Queen For You
QUEEN FOR YOU is bred in the purple (by Kingman and out of the Coronation Stakes winner Fallen For You) and the style of her debut win at Ascot a couple of weeks ago suggests she could well be destined for bigger and better things. She was ultimately well on top at the finish on that occasion, overcoming inexperience as she finished best of all to land the spoils by two lengths. It was certainly a promising start to her career and, with significant improvement on the cards, she should be able to take the step up in grade in her stride to maintain her unbeaten record.
15:00 – Aramaic
ARAMAIC achieved a useful level of form in four starts as a three-year-old, producing his best effort when last seen finishing fourth in a valuable handicap at Newbury in September 2021. He clearly hasn’t been the easiest horse to train in the interim having missed all of last season, but it’s interesting that his top yard is persevering with him, and he remains very unexposed. A BHA mark of 92 certainly looks workable judged on the pick of his three-year-old form and he’s very much one to be interested in despite his long absence.
15:35 – Siskany
SISKANY proved at least as good as ever when last seen filling the runner-up spot in the Dubai Gold Cup at Meydan in March, looking the likeliest winner for a long way (hit a low of 1.05 in-running on the Betfair Exchange) before being collared close home by Broome. Just a neck separated them at the finish and Siskany is 3 lb better off at the weights with the winner in this Group 2. The drop back in trip is likely to play more to his strengths, too, so another bold bid seems assured as he seeks the biggest success of his career to date.

16:10 – Mostabshir
MOSTABSHIR looked potentially smart when making a stylish winning debut at Kempton in November, drawing clear in the final furlong to land the spoils by four lengths. He was unable to build on that effort after five months off when finishing fifth (beaten eight lengths) in the Craven Stakes at Newmarket last time, but the way he shaped there suggests the experience is likely to bring him on again. He is back in calmer waters today and just a repeat of the form he showed on debut will give him every chance of defying a penalty.
16:45 – It Just Takes Time
IT JUST TAKES TIME produced another career-best effort to get his head back in front at Thirsk last week, proving very strong at the finish as he powered clear to win by four lengths. That was his fifth victory since joining the Mark Walford yard and most of the others have come at seven furlongs (including over this course and distance), so the return to that trip today won’t be an issue. A hugely likeable type, he is a credit to his connections and a 5-lb penalty might not be enough to prevent him from completing a quick double.
17:15 – Rhythm N Hooves
RHYTHM N HOOVES has made good progress to win his last two starts on the all-weather, first getting off the mark in a novice heat at Newcastle in March and then improving again to defy a penalty in a similar event at Chelmsford a couple of weeks later. He won easily despite still looking a bit rough around the edges on the last occasion, drawing right away late on to land the spoils by six lengths. He now makes the switch to handicaps and an opening BHA mark of 88 looks potentially lenient in his hat-trick bid if continuing to go the right way.
