Eye Of The Water (second choice) should go well again, while Alyara needs considering, but MARSH BENHAM will appreciate the drying weather following a decent comeback effort at Bath.

Mullins Beach was worn down only late on at Leicester on Saturday and has good form claims but he had the benefit of experience when about only 2l ahead of the newcomer JOLLY SAILOR at Bath previously and will need to be tough to bounce back quickly after the weekend run on soft ground. Jolly Sailor couldn’t sustain his effort at Bath but nevertheless showed promise and is very likely to improve. Likely newcomers Smooth Silesie, Vidi Vici and Zesty Lime need watching in the market.

A wide-open race with many of the runners acting well on this track. ON EDGE, off the mark over 6f here in August, has had fewer chances than most and looks worth a crack at a 5f handicap. Bluebell Time has been rather slow to come to hand this year and perhaps Fossos will prove the biggest danger, although Bama Lama, Rhubarb and handicap newcomer Cloud Cuckoo are all worth a look.

In theory Rich Rhythm should have more to come after just two turf handicaps but CASHEW is quite favourably treated on ground that suits and she got off on the right foot for her new yard on the AW recently. Carlton Banks would be very interesting if repeating the promise of his reappearance in Ireland last spring before going walkabout, and well-connected Flagman (second choice) is also of interest after a recent AW win over this trip. Pinwheel can also figure, while Youarenotforgiven is one to keep an eye on for the future.

Bomb Squad’s latest Thirsk effort off the same mark has been boosted by wins for the second, fourth and fifth since. He enters calculations but ROMANOVICH is the only one open to any improvement in a field packed with veterans and he gets the nod in first-time headgear.
16:25 Silver Nightfall (NAP)
Today’s drop from 1m should suit the strong-travelling SILVER NIGHTFALL (nap), who returns from a short break. The well-related Time’s Eye is rated the main danger, with this trip a bare minimum for Ivy Avenue, and Way To Amarillo needing to improve upon her AW work on this reappearance.

Letter Of The Law and LILANDRA appeal most, assuming they don’t scupper each other (they like to get on with it and stay further). John Flint’s mare, who is just 3lb higher than when winning readily here on her last turf start, is favoured. Sympathise will be a threat if taking to grass.
