Ascot 13:30 – High Fibre
My big fancy at entry stage is not running so I might just follow Rory Delargy in here with the strong case he made for the Harry Fry-trained High Fibre.
Haydock 13.35 – Wa Wa
A three-mile handicap hurdle where Irish challenger Wa Wa has good form over hurdles recently when switched back from fences. Aidan Coleman takes the ride and he looks to have a solid each-way chance.

Ascot 14:05 – Timeless Melody
Timeless Melody made a winning reappearance at Leicester for new trainer William Haggas after a year off the track. She’ll handle the ground and a mark of 80 should be well within her compass first time in a handicap.
Ascot 14:40 – Admiral D
The Victoria Cup is as competitive 7f sprint as you’ll see and 12 of the 23 have winning form on soft going and the ground on Saturday could be very testing. I’m siding with the ones who are drawn low and Admiral D is housed there and looks a good each-way bet at the prices. Spycatcher, Zip and Rebel Territory are others who could go well if the low numbers have the advantage.
Haydock 15:15 – Nibiru
The ground looks to be better at Haydock for the Swinton Hurdle than the Flat card at Ascot and that should suit another Irish challenger Nibiru who gets my vote for trainer Tony Martin, who should be a decent each-way price. He was pulled up last time at Aintree three from home but put in a sharp performance when second to what we now know was the very well handicapped Gaelic Warrior in a valuable hurdle at the Dublin Racing Festival before that. The headgear that was missing at Aintree goes back on.
