13:50 – Racingbreaks Ryder

RACINGBREAKS RYDER improved again to complete a hat-trick at Haydock a couple of weeks ago, doing well to sustain his effort given how keen he was in the early stages. He was a comfortable winner at the line, hitting the front in the final furlong and always doing enough from there to win by a length. The drop back to seven furlongs today should suit given his style of racing and a further 6lb rise in the weights might not be enough to prevent him from making it four wins in a row.

14:25 – Ehteyat

EHTEYAT proved to be a big disappointment when last seen, but it’s far too soon to be writing him off after just one bad run. He’d been in really good form prior to that with two wins at Southwell and a career-best effort when beaten just a neck at Lingfield. That form suggests a Britch Horseracing Authority (BHA) mark of 88 is still workable and Connor Planas, who is decent value for his 3-lb claim, takes over in the saddle today. The return to turf is unlikely to be an issue and Ehteyat should go very close if getting back on track in first-time cheekpieces.

15:00 – Dawn Charger

DAWN CHARGER shaped with lots of encouragement when filling the runner-up spot on her debut at Pontefract last week, finishing well under a hands-and-heels ride to pass the post just a length behind the winner. That form sets a good standard in this line-up and Dawn Charger seems sure to do better with the experience under her belt. A few interesting newcomers feature among the opposition in this maiden, but she rates a very solid selection to get off the mark at the second attempt.

15:35 – So Farhh So Good

SO FARHH SO GOOD made a promising start to her career when finishing fourth at Lingfield in November, sticking to her task well to be beaten only three and a quarter lengths. The way she shaped there suggests this longer trip is likely to unlock more improvement and that is hardly a surprise for one with a middle-distance pedigree. This looks a pretty weak maiden for the track and just a repeat of the form So Farhh So Good showed at Lingfield should put her right in the mix.

16:10 – Orazio

ORAZIO returned from three months off with a career-best effort to regain the winning thread at Newmarket last time, doing his best work late on to land the spoils by a length. He was well on top at the finish and the runner-up, Probe, has advertised the strength of that form by winning both his subsequent starts. Still unexposed after just five runs, Orazio is very much the type to go on improving and the handicapper might have underestimated him with a mere 4-lb rise in the weights.

16:45 – Nogos Dream

NOGOS DREAM shaped a bit better than the bare result when finishing fourth on his handicap debut at Newmarket last month, travelling strongly for a long way before getting tired late on. Beaten only two and a half lengths, despite seeming unsuited by the step up to seven furlongs, he certainly showed enough to suggest an opening BHA mark of 76 is workable. He drops back in trip today and remains one to be interested in given his lightly raced profile, with the booking of champion jockey William Buick also catching the eye.

17:20 – Docklands

DOCKLANDS made the most of a straightforward opportunity to open his account at Kempton a few weeks ago, just needing to be pushed out to land the spoils by a length and a quarter. He remains with potential now making the switch to handicaps and there should be races to be won with him from an opening BHA mark of 80. The excellent form of the Harry Eustace yard (six winners from last 22 runners) also gives cause for plenty of optimism.
