It's Yeehaw time with Chappers for Friday's racing.

13:50 – Ascot – In These Shoes
14:05 – Chester – Baryshnikov (each-way)

13:30 – Chester – Revich (each-way)

ITV Friday gets under way here with a handicap over nearly 1m. REVICH could be hard to keep out the frame here for Jim Crowley and Richard Spencer. My hope has run two good races with plenty of give in the ground recently, including a ninth in the Lincoln and a third at Newbury. A mark of 92 is workable and a definite each-way chance. Has run well here before.

13:50 – Ascot – In These Shoes

ITV are also showing one race from Ascot Friday in this handicap over 7f. IN THESE SHOES might be hard to peg back here for Charlie Johnston and William Buick. My selection won well and finished off strongly when scoring at Beverley last time and has a good reign weight here against a couple of horses who are going up the handicap quickly.

    14:05 – Chester – Baryshnikov (each-way)

Here’s a handicap over an extended 1m2f. BARYSHNIKOV has everything in place for a decent effort for David and Nicola Barron. Billy Loughnane takes off a valuable 3lb on a horse who is ideally suited by this trip on soft ground and who ran well when last seen when third at Pontefract. The draw is perfect in the conditions so has a fine each-way chance.

    14:40 – Chester – Point Lonsdale

A Group 2 in the Huxley Stakes over an extended 1m2f. POINT LONSDALE didn’t come up to scratch in the 2022 2000 Guineas but returned this season at the Curragh in great shape over this trip in desperate ground to land a Group 3 in decent style. He might make up for lost time now and could easily be miles too good for this field for Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore.

    15:15 – Chester – Calling The Wind (each-way)

The big betting race of the week in the Chester Cup over an extended 2m2f. CALLING THE WIND has a great draw and a handicap mark that is not impossible so he will be my each-way hope in a race that will turn into a slog. The former Cesarewitch third has dropped a few pounds to a mark of 100 but will relish going a trip with a cut as was the case when second in a November Handicap. Jamie Spencer will drop him in for Richard Hughes and hopefully come through last and fast.

    15:45 – Chester – Banderas

Here’s a maiden over an extended 1m4f that can throw up a decent horse. Hard not to think BANDERAS will take some stopping here for Ryan Moore and Michael Bell. After three runs the son of Lope de Vega is gearing up for a success and connections have been keen to keep the horse away from fast ground. Seems to stay judged on a second at Newbury to Klondike.

So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
