There should be more to come from recent Pontefract second WILLIAM DEWHIRST, who can make it third time lucky. Leap Day (second choice) and Aclaim To Fame are the obvious threats unless the betting vibes are strong surrounding one or more of the newcomers.

A 2lb swing in the weights might be enough for TURBULENT POWER to turn around last month’s Catterick form with Robert Johnson (second choice) and gain an overdue first success. Jamil and the reappearing The New Marwan are others who could have a part to play.

With form and peak fitness doubts surrounding most of these this could be a good opportunity for INDIAN CREAK to strike while the iron’s hot. It Just Takes Time wasn’t far off his best when third at Wetherby recently and can give Jack Channon’s charge most to do.
20:10 – Sparks Fly
David Loughnane’s SPARKS FLY (nap) has relished testing ground when scoring twice at Windsor this spring and looks good for a quick hat-trick. There should be more to come from Wolverhampton handicap debut winner Yeoman who is narrowly preferred to Hale End for the forecast spot.
20:45 – Bold Territories
The one who appeals most is BOLD TERRITORIES, who ran a pleasing first race back when fourth behind race-fit opposition at Redcar. Leicester winner Ey Up Its Jazz (second choice) won’t mind returning to 7f and Elladora won’t mind dropping back in class.
