13:30 Chester – Ziggys Dream

ITV Wednesday gets under way here at Chester with a juvenile conditions race over 5f. ZIGGYS DREAM doesn’t have as good a draw as Ziggys Phoenix but I’ll take the Inns of Court off spring to power home in front for Alice Haynes and Kieran O’Neill who had a good winner at Newmarket last week. My hope looked promising on debut at Doncaster and with that experience and ability proven to go on soft ground she should be hard to keep out the frame at the very least.

    14:05 Chester – Michaelas Boy

Now a handicap over 5f. MICHAELAS BOY should give us a run for our money for Mick Appleby and Frederick Larson who takes off a handy 3lb. My selection has some form with cut in the ground and was far from disgraced at a big price at Newcastle last time. Often. Front runner so stall four looks perfect.

    14:40 Chester – Savethelastdance

Up in class for the Listed Cheshire Oaks over nearly 1m4f. SAVETHELASTDANCE hasn’t been fancied on either start but showed bundles of stamina when scoring at a big price at Leopardstown last time. That was over 1m2f in heavy ground so the trip and ground here should be no issue and, quite simply, this is there for the taking for a decent Ballydoyle runner. Aidan O’Brien trains with Ryan Moore riding. Won’t be much of a price.

    15:15 Chester – Arrest

Group 3 company now for the Chester Vase over an extended 1m4f. ARREST is a very exciting Juddmonte inmate and should be very hard to beat for John and Thady Gosden and Frankie Dettori. Runner-up to Dubai Mile in a Group 1 at Saint-Cloud last term, Arrest has previously won at Sandown and Ffos Las and could be very useful. Dubai Mile was far from disgraced in the 2000 Guineas.

    15:45 Chester – Tasever (each-way)

A handicap over 6f. TASEVER has been mainly kept to tracks with testing conditions and might be worth a few quid each-way here for Tim Easterby and Cam Hardie. My selection ran well at Beverley last time and has a really useful juvenile run at Doncaster to his name. A mark of 70 looks workable and the draw is fine.
