17:45 – Monte Linas
18:15 – Epic Express
A small field but an intriguing low-grade sprint. Forca Brasil didn’t go on from his debut win at two but it is interesting that George Boughey has bought him back and he is well down the weights after his quiet year in Ireland. Araifjan, Anificas Beauty and Tuesday’s Wolverhampton winner Jumira Bridge all have something to recommend them but EPIC EXPRESS is preferred. A course and distance (C&D) winner last season, he ran well on his reappearance and was still in contention here last time when running into trouble.
18:45 – What Will Be (NAP)
The percentage call goes to WHAT WILL BE (NAP), who is 2-2 over C&D and has a very positive jockey booking in William Buick. Cedar Cage, who ties in closely with the selection on 2m form last month, is second choice ahead of Melakaz who looks interesting back on all weather (AW) assuming he takes well to Chelmsford (first run here). Last year’s winner Beggarman has clear possibilities granted a revival.
19:15 – Greek Giant
Having shown improvement when favourite at Nottingham on his handicap debut, GREEK GIANT could well take another step forward and get off the mark. Dabbous, back at the scene of his win, is second choice. You Saw Brigadoon should go well again, while Churchill Rose and Zaakara are interesting upped in trip.

19:45 – Boasty
Several of these arrive in good form, none more so than BOASTY, who looked to have more up his sleeve last time and can win again. Mayfair Gold has potential and could be the one to give him most to do, while avalluccio can complete the first three.
20:15 – Thomas Equinas
A largely inconsistent bunch go to post and THOMAS EQUINAS is taken to score by maintaining his good recent form. Compere could prove his biggest danger if able to get close to his latest effort, while Nivelle’s Magic and The Waiting Game are others of interest.
20:45 – Wyvern
Tarrabb remains open to further progress and commands respect despite her lack of recent match practice. A solid alternative, from a punting perspective, is the in-form WYVERN who ran very well over C&D most recently. Sir Oliver also has sound claims.
