13:55 – Father Of Jazz

On quickening ground and in the hope that he will settle better in the hood that had a positive effect on the Flat, FATHER OF JAZZ earns preference. Moonshine Spirit’s effort fizzled out over further at Chepstow and this race looks a better fit, while Classic Anthem is also of interest.

14:30 – Telhimlisten

Provided he can hold his form for a new yard then the good times can continue for TELHIMLISTEN. Balko Saint could be dangerous in a tongue-tie but Dreaming Blue is the most likely danger.

15:05 – Ajp Kingdom

Not a strong maiden and AJP KINGDOM earns the vote after two encouraging efforts at this trip. Astronomic View is back from another break but his form needs respecting, while both Jemura and Destroytheevidence should improve now sent over hurdles.

15:40 – Latitude

Preference is for the steadily maturing LATITUDE, wholly convincing on just his second attempt over today’s sort of trip at Ludlow and far from certain to be compromised by a 6lb rise. It wouldn’t surprise were Danny Kirwan to go closer in this race than last year, for all that it’s a deeper renewal, but the very competitively handicapped Good Boy Bobby may yet prove a bigger threat to the selection, barring any late errors.

16:15 – Queens Rock

Nicky Henderson’s QUEENS ROCK did it very comfortably at Doncaster and she was only a late withdrawal from a Listed race at the recent Cheltenham meeting. She probably has a lot more to offer. While it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Magistrato get his career back on track, the second choice is Moveit Like Minnie.

16:50 – Only Money

With Mercian Prince in attendance this is sure to be run at a strong pace and this C&D specialist would be dangerous if left alone out in front. However, Chris Gordon’s ONLY MONEY (nap) returns from a break under his optimum conditions and, prior to his final start, last season was a good one. Jay Jay Reilly is progressing nicely and he’s feared most.

17:25 – Kings Threshold

Young Butler’s latest piece of form reads well but he needed plenty of encouragement to get going at Haydock and he’s not straightforward. His stablemate KING’S THRESHOLD is perhaps a safer play on this step up to 3m. Island Run was progressing well until last time and could be given another chance.
