13:40 – Daafy
This looks fiercely competitive. Albeseeingyer appeals as the type to win plenty more races but ground with soft in the description would ask a new question of her. Hoots Toots won well on his return and a 5lb rise is fair, while El Royale, Tom Tulliver and Kodebreaker all have something to recommend them. Fiftyshadesofred (second choice) has been given a real chance by the handicapper on turf and looks set to go well but the vote goes to DAAFY. He has to prove himself on turf but he looks set to get an end-to-end gallop in this field and that could be the catalyst for an improved showing.
14:15 – United Approach
Desert Games and Smoky Mountain have shown promise and can go well but the two to focus on look to be Leap Day and UNITED APPROACH. Leap Day did well to finish as close as he did on debut given his errant ways and he can progress with that experience behind him but he is taking on a good prospect in United Approach, who won very easily at Ayr when last seen despite looking very green. Billy Loughnane’s claim helps to offset his penalty and he can take this before having his sights raised.
14:50 – Royal Dress
There was market support for Tyke before his debut and he won decisively despite hanging left across the track at Southwell. He may have more to come but he will need it if he is to defy a penalty. Talha (second choice) should be winning races this season but ROYAL DRESS looks the one to beat. She hasn’t been seen since last summer but the ability she displayed in finishing second over C&D 286 days ago strongly suggests she can win a similar event. Keep an eye on Stormy Denise with a view to handicaps over further.
15:25 – Supreme King
16:00 – Wonder Legend
A few of these are open to further improvement now upped in trip for their handicap debuts with It’s All About You, Westerton and Mindset particularly interesting. WONDER LEGEND is in a similar boat even if he is unraced on turf, but he is race-fit having got off the mark at Wolverhampton this month and that could make the difference.

16:30 – Miss Down Under
It’s hard to know what to expect from Invisible Friend who is likely to face different conditions on this return from a lengthy absence, but she is totally unexposed after just two starts so has to be respected on that score. My Little Queens is also respected following her successful Chelmsford reappearance with the return to turf not an issue, but it may be worth siding with MISS DOWN UNDER. She looked in need of her reappearance over further, but this trip suits her better and she wouldn’t mind any more rain.
17:05 – Quercus Robur (NAP)
Flint Hill and Ghadbbaan have the form to go close, but neither would want much more rain. Cogital is likely to have come on from his reappearance and is considered off just 1lb higher than his last winning mark, but preference is for QUERCUS ROBUR (NAP) who has won four of his last nine starts and stays this trip well.
17:35 – Juryman
Quite a few of these are open to improvement now switched to a handicap and some of them are also making their reappearance. Of that group Royal Razzmatazz, Erazmus, Bowleaze, Yorkstone and Rockonmecca look the most interesting. Inspired Knowhow and Kempton winner Vasilissa have the recent form to figure but the vote goes to JURYMAN who has run well in his last four starts and gives the impression he has improvement in him.
