13:50 – Legend of Leros
He looked fairly decent when winning at Doncaster last season and stepped up on that performance when a really good third when racing on the front end at Kempton behind Slipofthepen. Legend of Leros looked as if he was in need of that run on his return and can step forward from that display on what looks a workable mark of 92. The 8lb he receives from Local Dynasty is a plus too.

14:25 – Adayar
It’s so good to see the former Epsom Derby winner Adayar kept in training and he showed he retains his ability last season. He was an easy winner at Doncaster and put up a huge performance when half a length second to Bay Bridge in the Champion Stakes at Ascot. It looks like his stable-mate, Highland Avenue can guarantee a strong pace for him to run at and his class should see him home.
15:00 – Light Infantry
He went from a novice success at Yarmouth straight on to win the Group 3 Horris Hill Stakes and he didn’t stop improving throughout his three-year-old campaign last season. He was arguably unlucky when he didn’t see much daylight in the Golden Eagle Stakes over in Australia and he can get his four-year-old campaign off to a flyer under conditions that he acts well on now.
15:35 – Arrest
It all depends how much they have all improved throughout the Winter, but Arrest looked a big imposing juvenile, who was going to grow and strengthen into his frame this year. He went very close at the highest level when we last saw him. The heavy conditions hold no fears for him on his return and he’s 25/1 for the Derby before they go to post on Friday.
