Anthony Honeyball’s PURE THEATRE may only need a repeat of her second at Chepstow to take this uncompetitive opener. Hey Day Baby ran moderately in a bumper but she did win an Irish point and does have some potential.

Any Biscuits has better claims than most after coming good at Market Rasen but DOM BOSCO has hinted at winning potential in his two handicaps. Most of these are exposed as modest but Atlantic Fleet is a handicap debutant who could show more this time.
18:05 Dino Velvet (NAP)
This is not the penalty kick it might first appear for Gabriel’s Getaway (second best), despite the 9lb rise for his last-time Lingfield win looking lenient. DINO VELVET (nap) and Rakhine State have something to offer off career-low marks, so long as conditions don’t ride too soft, and the selection is a more proven quantity around galloping tracks than his younger rival. Paddy’s Poem still has plenty of historical wriggle room off his re-raised mark.

A very open, low-grade handicap. WHENITRAINSITPOURS is well worth a go over this longer trip and he earns preference over Puddlesinthepark, Student Chap and Karakoram.

A chance is taken on chase debutant GREATEST STAR who ran his best race yet for his new yard at Sandown last time. Begin The Luck had a bit in hand at Newton Abbot and he’s second choice ahead of Braveheart.
19:35 Walkin Out
All bar one of these have to prove themselves over their respective exertions between the flags over the Easter weekend. Quintin’s Man (second best) had to go half a mile further and work harder for his success at Trebudannon than WALKIN OUT did his, and while that was in a higher grade he’s nevertheless taken on with the latter, Leslie Jefford’s mare having proven her effectiveness on sounder as well as softer surfaces.
20:05 I’m Ravenous
A stronger, more forward Tinklers Hill than the model last seen around Christmas may still do well to defy all of the most plausible alternatives from the pointing field that oppose this time. I’M RAVENOUS and The Midwife look the part on paper, and are preferred in that order.
