Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
Albert Cee showed enough on his first run for Peter Chapple-Hyam to suggest he has strong claims but preference is for TRILBY. George Boughey’s runner has run to a similar level of form on all his AW starts but his pedigree suggests he’ll be better suited by this longer trip and he has the services of an in-form 5lb claimer.
This looks trappy. New Kingdom, Tacarib Bay and Vafortino (second choice) add a touch of class at the head of the weights and all three have something to recommend them. HODLER made good progress last season, though, including over C&D in October when chasing home a subsequent Listed winner, and he can improve again this time round. A recent run on the AW should have sharpened him up and he can take this on the way to better things.
Suanni isn’t one to set your watch by but he’s capable at this level and he has the advantage of the rail draw. He should go well, while Sparked can be expected to leave her reappearance run behind her, but this can go the way of veteran STORM MELODY. The selection was a ready winner of a C&D event last month and a repeat of that would give him strong claims back in a Class 6.
This looks very open but Rachael Blackmore goes again with BALDUR’S GATE after two placed efforts and returning to further may help. Positive Thinker brings momentum into his chase debut and he’s feared, along with Eddies Pride and Goodnightgodbless.
