17:30 – Wallop
If reverting to the form of his debut effort Almaty Star would have a chance while a market move for the nicely bred newcomer Never This Way should be noted. However, WALLOP sets a high standard on his turf form last year and his pedigree suggests that switching to the AW won’t be a problem for him.
18:00 – Wildfell
Both Urban Jungle and Bailar Contigo are possible improvers now making their handicaps debuts at a modest level, while Ticket To Alaska would have to be considered dropping in grade if ready to go after four months off. However, a gelding operation and change of stable seemed to do the trick for WILDFELL when winning at Lingfield three weeks ago. He is 7lb higher, but he did well to defy the outside stall last time and is much better drawn here.
18:30 – Onight
The market should be revealing as regards the newcomers with Alsakib perhaps the most interesting, but a few of these already have some useful form on the board such as previous winners ONIGHT and Buccabay. The former is the preferred of the pair as he is better drawn than his rival and his fitness is guaranteed. Glory Nights showed ability for Sir Michael Stoute and the market may be useful on this first start for Mark Loughnane after 11 months off.
19:00 – Los Camachos
Sweet Mist didn’t have the race go her way at Wolverhampton and Oisin Murphy is an eyecatching booking. She’s a big danger but LOS CAMACHOS looked ready to win again on his penultimate start and forget last time when he missed the break. Be Prepared also comes into it.

19:30 – Maasai Mara
A tight little handicap despite just the four runners. There is likely plenty more to come from Tagabawa with this longer trip expected to suit on breeding, but preference is for MAASAI MARA who did it nicely when winning a novice here last month. He can probably do better still.
20:00 – Stockpyle
Given his record over C&D Tahitian Prince would have to be respected, but whether he can defy an absence of this length remains to be seen. The market may be useful regarding the reappearing pair Assessment and Discretion, but preference is for STOCKPYLE who finished a close third in a stronger race here last time and remains unexposed at the trip. The main danger may come from recent Wolverhampton winner Double Time, though the unexposed handicap newcomer Hoornblower is another to keep an eye on.
20:30 – Perfect Gentleman
Recent Lingfield winner Gone is worthy of respect, as is the progressive Gwendolina on her return from a short break, but the vote goes to PERFECT GENTLEMAN (nap). He found 1m4f too far last time, but had earlier won well over C&D.
