19:30 – Marmara Star
20:00 – Well Prepared

17:30 – Debydinks

DEBYDINKS wasn’t at his best back on turf last time when beating only two rivals home, but he dived to his right leaving the stalls that day, which didn’t help his cause, and he is also prone to throwing in a stinker. However, he remains potentially well treated on the pick of his form, and he may be worth another chance now back on all-weather in a race which is lacking depth, while the booking of Oisin Murphy also catches the eye. Holly Blackmore has shown more since going handicapping and could prove the main danger.

18:00 – Tranquil Rose

TRANQUIL ROSE has an attractive pedigree, being a half-sister to Irish 2000 Guineas winner Native Trail, and she shaped with plenty of promise when beaten only by another promising newcomer on an extended nine furlongs at this track three weeks ago. She soon recovered from a slow start, but didn’t settle fully out in front, and she proved vulnerable in the closing stages to one coming from much further back. The drop in trip should suit her well, while she will have likely learnt plenty for that initial experience, and she is a strong fancy to go one place better now. Gold As Glass made a winning start at Newmarket last season and is feared most up in trip representing a yard going along nicely.

18:30 – Dubai Dawn

DUBAI DAWN is a half-brother to the very smart Far Above – who won the Palace House Stakes – and he was backed into favouritism when making a winning debut over this course and distance four weeks ago. He knew his job, racing in touch and travelling fluently before being produced to lead in the final furlong. That form isn’t working out badly at all and he has been found an excellent opportunity to follow up. Maxzeno can improve this year and is feared more than newcomer Kracking, who does need monitoring in the market.

19:00 – Kensington Agent

KENSINGTON AGENT was well supported when resuming winning ways over this course and distance in January and she has continued to thrive since, winning a couple more handicaps at Kempton and Chelmsford in February, and shaping well in defeat on her last two starts. She is drawn widest of all here, but the booking of Hollie Doyle has to be seen as a positive, and she remains on a competitive mark back on all-weather. Come On Girl has also been running well and she is a likely contender once again.

19:30 – Marmara Star

MARMARA STAR wasn’t the first horse from this yard to be denied a handicap mark after her third run, but she duly made her first start in handicaps a winning one over this course and distance in January. She was well suited by a step up in trip, ridden more positively than she had been in the past, sent into the lead around two furlongs out and finding plenty for all she hung slightly to the left. The runner-up has come out and franked the form since and Marmara Star makes plenty of appeal having been raised 6 lb in the weights. Hourless starts out in handicaps from a low base and is one to note in the market.

20:00 – Well Prepared

WELL PREPARED landed back-to-back classified events over this course and distance and at Chelmsford earlier this year and it may be worth forgiving him a lesser effort back on turf last time. That was his first start on grass for nearly two years and the testing conditions may have been against him, wandering around in the last two furlongs and ultimately well beaten. This mark shouldn’t be beyond him, though, and he is worth chancing back on an artificial surface with Oisin Murphy booked. Captain Pugwash is respected after a solid showing at Lingfield and Young Winston can’t be dismissed, either.

20:30 – Carlos Felix

CARLOS FELIX hasn’t quite developed into the horse that this owner probably expected, but there is no doubt he has a touch of class about him when putting it all together, as he showed when landing a sustained gamble at Southwell a couple of weeks ago. He had tumbled in the weights but gave his rivals a head start, typically slow away from the stalls but his jockey didn’t panic and he had a fair bit up his sleeve at the line. A subsequent 5 lb rise leaves him well handicapped on the pick of his form and it will be disappointing if he isn’t able to follow up. Bristol Hill produced another solid showing last time and ranks as the main threat.
