Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
Celtic Revival continues to surprise and looks a big player once more despite his rising mark. However, SUPREME LAW suffered a wide trip when a beaten favourite behind the Lynam horse here 18 days ago and, although drawn in 14, if the excellent Jamie Powell can get him into a handy position he has the ability to win this. Cara Susanna is bred to be better than this level and needs a market check on her handicap debut.
This can go to FREEDOM FLYER, who looked in excellent nick when dominating a big-field turf handicap a week ago and is also very effective on Tapeta. Gustav Graves returned to form with a good recent turf run and competes off a 2lb lower mark here but a bigger threat to the selection may come from well-drawn C&D specialist Red Walls.
Returning from three months off is a concern, but ZAZA ZUT might well have won the 5f handicap taken by Not Too Real Bad here in January had she got away on level terms. Returning to 6f looks a big plus. Inthepoorhouse also lacks a recent run but he has a race of this nature in him.
Today’s return to Tapeta is sure to suit Rockley Point, who is likely to put in a good front-running shift from stall 1, but he holds no secrets from the handicapper and the suggestion is RECKON I’M HOT, who returned from a break with an encouraging 6f run here last month and will hopefully have taken some benefit from that outing. May Remain was ahead of the selection when winning his latest race and is next on the list.
