13:34 – Three Macks

This won’t take a great deal of winning and the suggestion is THREE MACKS who ran well enough last time out at Wincanton to suggest she can pick up a race like this. Bushtucker Park, who improved on her debut bumper run when third over hurdles at Huntingdon, looks her main threat.

14:09 – Saladam

Although SALADAM is maintaining his form, rather than improving on it, he is reliable and perhaps wind surgery will make his life easier. Mahler Moon looks the type to do better and is next best, as A Definite Getaway hasn’t reproduced his good Huntingdon run in two starts since, School Days Over has to prove himself beyond 2m, and point winner Night Duty has an absence to overcome.

14:44 – Emily Wade

Although it wasn’t a great race that EMILY WADE won at Southwell in only her second handicap she did appreciate the step up in trip and there is still time for her to do better. Kajaki has quickly returned to a favourable mark and is next on the list, although Rory And Me, Denable, Erigmoor and Ebendi are all worth a look as well.

15:19 – Minella Choice

The unexposed MINELLA CHOICE, a creditable third in a novice hurdle here last time, is taken to get off the mark on his handicap debut. Previous winners Blue Bikini and Having A Barney should also go well.

15:54 – Snowy Clouds

There are a few questions to answer in this field, including with the presence of several would-be front-runners, but SNOWY CLOUDS (nap) has run well in all three of his chase starts and looks the most solid option following his Catterick win. Two of his key rivals departed that day but his 8lb rise could prove lenient nevertheless. Out On The Tear is usually in the picture, so he is second choice. Chase debutant We’ll Go Again ran well at this track last July and November as a hurdler.

16:29 – Jay Jay Reilly

A case can be made for all four of these but preference is for topweight JAY JAY REILLY who wasn’t disgraced in the Pendil at Kempton and can take advantage of a drop in grade. Ballybreeze faced an impossible task in the Arkle four weeks ago but has claims on his Chepstow success in the autumn and may pose the main threat ahead of Great Heart’jac.

17:04 – Betty Baloo

It’s always possible that one of the others could stage a revival and two of them try new headgear. However, recent form points to this being between Animal and BETTY BALOO, with the latter having less to prove if the ground turns good.

17:39 – Bhaloo

An interesting bumper can go to BHALOO who showed plenty of promise when fourth in a strong race at Kempton in March last year. Irish point winner Take No Chances has run well in both her bumpers and looks a big danger.
