So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
13:50 Musselburgh – Finns Charm (Telegraph)
Last year’s Chesham fourth FINN’S CHARM struggled on his final two starts last season but the subsequent break may have helped and his yard has an excellent record in this race. He’s firmly of interest on the Royal Ascot form and he bolted up in a maiden here earlier last June. His stablemate Lion Of War is respected but the main threat could come from Chillhi whose rallying fifth over 7f at York last October suggests he can play a part here. The well-bred Captain Winters is a possible improver, while Gincident and Dumfries arrive on the back of AW wins.
14:40 Haydock – Enqarde (Daily Record)
Jeffery’s Cross has finished runner-up in all his chases but without posing a genuine threat to the three winners and this is certainly no easier. Mucho Mas and Feivel are progressive chasers closely matched on last month’s Sandown clash but a chance is taken on ENQARDE. He’s become well handicapped for a reason but if he’s to return to form anywhere it will be here, and his stable is in better form now than for much of the season.
16:35 Newton Abbot – Kings Krackertara (Racing Post)
Although KINGS KRACKERTARA was just under 2l behind Galop Du Bosc over 3m at Chepstow last time, the way Nick Gifford’s mare stayed on to be nearest at the finish suggests that she might be able to turn the tables over this longer trip. Dysania can’t have been right last time and is another who could be involved in the finish.
17:30 Wolverhampton – Inchbae (The Sun)
Master Grey would have to enter the argument back in a 0-60 were they to go a solid pace, but that’s far from certain so preference is for INCHBAE who still doesn’t have many miles on the clock (0-8) and is bred to relish this longer trip. Jenny Ren, who just got the better of the selection here last time, is another for the shortlist.
