13:50 – Newcastle – New Definition (each way)
14:25 – Newcastle – Earlofthecotswolds
14:40 – Lingfield – Aussie Banker (each way)
15:00 – Newcastle – Forest Of Dean
15:15 – Lingfield – Tolstoy
15:35 – Newcastle – Berkshire Shadow
15:50 – Lingfield – Precision Storm (each way)
16:10 – Newcastle – Queen Aminatu
16:45 – Newcastle – Summerghand (each way)

13:50 – Newcastle – New Definition (each way)

A busy few days on ITV starts here with a conditions race for three-year-old’s over 6f and it looks competitive. NEW DEFINITION takes a big drop in trip for James Tate and Clifford Lee and is worth a few quid each way. My hope has tackled Listed company in his time but ran no race at Chelmsford when last seen over a mile. His last two runs over 6f are pretty good and he’s well boxed to get a good position here.

14:25 – Newcastle – Earlofthecotswolds

A conditions race over an extended 2m. Defending champion EARLOFTHECOTSWOLDS is going to be very hard to pass for Nigel Twiston-Davies and Liam Kenny. My hope was back in form at Wolverhampton last time and is a very strong stayer when on song. Berkshire Rocco and Co. will have to go some to pass him.

14:40 – Lingfield – Aussie Banker (each way)

ITV also show action from Lingfield including this handicap over 1m. Brewing will be all the rage but is up in trip and I’m happy to stick with the in-form AUSSIE BANKER for William Buick and trainer Richard Hughes. My selection was just touched off at Kempton last time but kept on well and can still show what he can do off a 2lb higher mark. He has each-way claims.

15:00 – Newcastle – Forest Of Dean

Another conditions event here over 1m2f. FOREST OF DEAN was poor behind Lord North at Lingfield last time out but he was a good winner here in January and with a rating of 104, he really should go very close under the excellent James Doyle for the John & Thady Gosden team. I struggle to see him getting beat.

15:15 – Lingfield – Tolstoy

A handicap over 6f. TOLSTOY has been given a chance by the handicapper and has a great draw under Rossa Ryan for Stuart Williams. This trip is perfect and a mark of 84 starts to look tasty having once been on 96. The fourth at Wolverhampton last time was alright.

15:35 – Newcastle – Berkshire Shadow

Here’s a conditions race over 1m. Boring selection but BERKSHIRE SHADOW will take tons of stopping for Oisin Murphy and Andrew Balding. The trip is no issue even though he scored well over 7f at Wolverhampton last time. That was a better race than this and while he doesn’t always put two classy runs together this is very winnable.

15:50 – Lingfield – Precision Storm (each way)

Now a handicap over 1m2f. PRECISION STORM is a consistent type but hasn’t won for a little while. The handicapper knows pretty much where he is with this horse but a step back up in trip might well suit and he’s another each-way hope with Billy Loughnane taking off 5lb for his old man Mark.

16:10 – Newcastle – Queen Aminatu

This conditions event is over 7f. Monaafith has every chance but I’ll stick with the William Haggas-runner QUEEN AMINATU under Cieren Fallon. With a mark of 107, the daughter of Muhaarar really should have every chance and she was in great shape when last seen at Deauville. My hope has not had a run this year but should be fit enough.

16:45 – Newcastle – Summerghand (each way)

Finally a conditions race over 6f and it’s a tough race to call. Old boy SUMMERGHAND ran alright in Doha and wasn’t disgraced at Lingfield two starts ago. He’s not that used to this place but if there’s a strong gallop he still has the ability to shake these up in the closing stages. One for each-way backers.

So best of luck and hope for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
