Hurlerontheditch an ex-Irish bumper winner who missed the whole of last year but returned with two solid placed efforts this year. He will be looking to go one better here. He’s a consistent type but really unexposed against some more exposed rivals. He looks well in at the weights and with Kim Bailey’s yard coming into some hot form, he makes plenty of appeal.

Wetherby 15:45 – Oscars Leader

1.5 points each-way

Oscars Leader for Jennie Candlish looks very well handicapped on a mark of 108 having won off 117 and 114 last season. He made a welcome return at Bangor last time out when second only beaten by 2l and he remains on the same mark. Sean Quinlan, who has a good record with the horse, is back in the saddle and he looks about as solid as it gets.

Wetherby 16:55 – Mad About Sally

1.5 points each-way

Mad About Sally does carry risks but is well worth taking a chance on given how impressive she was two starts back. She’s only run three times over fences, so her jumping last time out was slightly concerning, but I’m happy to give her another chance because if she runs and jumps like she did two starts back, she will take some beating. She is still relatively lightly raced so we can expect her to improve and Gavin Sheehan should add some experience in the saddle.
