13.30 – Popular Dream

POPULAR DREAM was well backed for his debut over six furlongs at Chelmsford in December and displayed plenty of ability amidst greenness, slowly away and racing too freely but sticking to his task well enough. The winner of that race has won again since and Popular Dream seems sure to take a step forward now switched to turf and dropping to the minimum trip. Fair Wind is clear pick of the newcomers before market clues, while it would come as no surprise to see Medici Chapel placed again.

14.05 – Goldkit

GOLDKIT has a bit of size about her, so it is no surprise her sales price rose considerably as a two-year-old, and she shaped with plenty of promise when narrowly denied by one who had previous experience on her debut at Kempton in January. That form has worked out well and she hasn’t been disgraced since, so she looks the one to beat on these terms with David Probert taking over in the saddle for the first time. Invested won a weak event in good style last time and looks the obvious danger with the likelihood of even more to come.

14.40 – Bleak

BLEAK is related to winners and shaped well on her debut over a mile at Newcastle last month, racing freely in touch and produced to challenge over a furlong out but he faded as though he was in need of the run. That was a fair contest, and the runner-up has bolted up since, so Bleak is expected to take a big step forward for that initial experience and he is marginally preferred to Bauhinia Rhapsody, who has the best form to date.

15.15 – Just Bring It

JUST BRING IT shaped well in some races that worked out well last year and he was strong in the market when making a winning return at Kempton last month. He never really gave his backers anything to worry about as he brushed aside a filly who arrived on the up, carried left in the closing stages but having plenty in hand at the line. A subsequent 4 lb rise looks lenient on the face of it and Just Bring It can progress again to follow up. Woodstock arrives on a hat-trick and is a big danger, while Goodfella is worthy of interest having set a solid platform in three runs last season.

15.50 – Tuddenham Green

TUDDENHAM GREEN remains a maiden on the Flat, but has won twice over hurdles since his last start in this sphere, and he remains with potential as a staying handicapper. He finished third in a fairly useful three-year-old handicap over a mile and three quarters on his latest Flat start at Sandown in July and the step up to two miles ought to suit him well from what still looks a fair mark. Haarar returns with his yard among the winners so he’s a threat, with Orin Swift completing the shortlist given his good record fresh.

16.25 – Entrancement

The market may reveal more but ENTRANCEMENT looks the one to side with having her first start for David Menuisier. She showed improved form when opening her account over the extended mile at this course on her final start, well suited by the emphasis on stamina, suggesting she’ll relish this step up to a mile and a quarter. Conditions won’t be a problem, either, so she is taken to prove too strong for handicap debutante Peace of Mine, who should relish this longer trip also.

16.50 – Ectocross

ECTOCROSS proved a different proposition upped in trip on handicap bow when coming from last to first at Lingfield on his return last month and should prove hard to beat if handling these different conditions off only 2 lb higher. Peaceful Night and Dog Fox both appeal as the type to do better now stepping up in trip and handicapping so are feared most.
