16:30 – Tallulah Myla
Improved showings from Albert Cee and Missing You would come as no surprise, while Full Prime (second choice) has two standout efforts to her name and they have both come over this C&D. The widest draw and other pace influences are a potential banana skin for TALLULAH MYLA but she looked so far ahead of the handicapper at Chelmsford on Saturday that a follow-up is on the cards.
17:00 – Kodias Sangarius
All eight runners have something to prove on one count or another and this looks a race in which to tread carefully. Dancing Empress has pulled too hard over 1m2f and it is interesting that her shrewd new yard are quick to drop her to sprint trips. Sharron Macready is capable of a big run off her lowly mark, while Come On Girl is reliable, but KODIAS SANGARIUS starts out for her new yard off a tempting mark and she gets the tentative vote.
17:30 – Sapphire Seas
The two previous winners Crack Of Light and SAPPHIRE SEAS are closely matched having beaten the same filly (Mountain Song) into second over 9.4f at Wolverhampton for their respective victories. They should both be suited by today’s longer trip but preference is for Sapphire Seas, who did well to get up in a race that wasn’t run to suit. The Gosden-trained newcomer Polar Princess is another interesting contender.
18:05 – Island Star
The form standard set by those with experience isn’t a daunting one so market support for any of the three well-related newcomers Covert Legend, Jeff Koons (second choice) or Wind In Your Sails would look significant. That said, ISLAND STAR hinted at better in two runs last season and he may be worth chancing on his first run for a new stable.

18:40 – Royal Cape
As with the first division there are some interesting newcomers on display with Prosper Legend perhaps the pick. Lose Your Wad (second choice) sets the standard and there should be more to come from him this season but ROYAL CAPE is an interesting alternative. Sent off at 100-1 for his debut here in November, he was in need of the experience but he was noted finishing better than anything and he should be more streetwise on this return to action.
19:15 – Hes A Monster
An interesting race with each of the four runners having something to recommend them. Monopolise ended his 2yo campaign firmly on the up but he will need to be at concert pitch to take this back from a break. Jahidin and Seductive Power both have claims but HE’S A MONSTER (nap) looks the one to focus on. Archie Watson’s representative created a very positive impression when toying with his rivals in a Wolverhampton handicap last month.
19:45 – Kingdom Come
A cracking handicap. All The King’s Men (second choice) produced a very smart final-furlong sectional to decisively land a gamble on his British/stable debut in January and an 8lb rise may not be beyond him in the coming weeks. Rainbow Fire, Evocative Spark and Street Kid all have something to recommend them but KINGDOM COME is preferred as he bids for a C&D hat-trick. A 15lb rise for his runaway win in February asks a stiffer question of him but those left toiling in his wake have advertised the form since and he could still prove a cut above handicap company.
20:15 – Global Wonder
Some of these have been doing their better recent work in classified events, notably Donald Llewellyn and All About Alice. The latter has also had to give best to GLOBAL WONDER in 2m Polytrack handicaps this winter, however, and the chances of her being fated to do so again this time may increase if a truer run affair ensues.
