13:30 – Gaye Legacy
GAYE LEGACY is on an upward curve and, even though she is bred for a trip and will likely come into her own over further, she sets a good standard in this race. She went very close at Warwick last time, beaten only a nose having looked the likeliest winner – traded 1.18 in-running – and she should prove hard to stop on that effort given she should have even more to offer. Stopherandgo was full value for her Wincanton win and is set for another big run under a penalty.
14:00 – Walk In Clover
WALK IN CLOVER was a wide-margin winner over hurdles on her first start for Dan Skelton last season and she ran her best race to date over fences when finishing runner-up at Ludlow in February. She was no match for the long odds-on favourite but she pulled too hard on that occasion and back in a bigger field she may be the one to beat if settling better back in handicap company. La Renommee beat a few of these over course and distance last month and is rated next best ahead of the consistent Fortunes Melody.
14:30 – Space Voyage
SPACE VOYAGE has made a promising start to her career, winning three of her five starts so far with the last two of those coming over hurdles. She has thrived since stepping up in trip, building on her wide-margin win at Lingfield when following up at Huntingdon last month. She was in full control after jumping the last, never looking like being caught for all she idled on the run-in. There should be plenty more to come from her now and she can make another bold bid. Fellow hurdles winner Hercules Morse may give Olly Murphy’s mare most to think about.
15:00 – Dibble Decker
DIBBLE DECKER has showed improved since fitted with cheekpieces, winning his last two starts over two and a half miles at Huntingdon, jumping straight than he had previously when opening his account in January and having more in hand than the official margin suggests last time. He looked in control jumping the last but was all out to hold on from the fast-finishing runner-up. The step up to three miles should be in his favour and a subsequent 4 lb rise may well underestimate him. Annsam, who is a course winner, is worth another chance having been ridden too aggressively in front when seventh at Kempton last time.

15:30 – Hardy Fella
HARDY FELLA had some solid form in bumpers last season and he has finished runner-up on both of his completed starts over hurdles so far. He left the impression he may have even more to offer at Wincanton last time, too, one of the last to come off the bridle but not finding as much as the odds-on winner who has since franked the form. That was Hardy Fella’s first run for four months, so he is entitled to strip fitter, and he doesn’t look badly treated now making his handicap debut. This looks a strong race for the grade, though, and solid cases can also be made for Heros, Thruthelookinglass and Judical Law.
16:00 – Dom Perry
DOM PERRY won a bumper for his previous yard but didn’t show much in a couple of starts over hurdles. However, he justified good support when making a winning start for Hughie Morrison at Southwell in February with the hood left off and he improved in defeat on handicap debut at Newbury last time. That was a stronger race than this and, still open to further progress, he looks the one to beat here. Patient Dream, who arrives in search of a hat-trick, can pose the biggest threat.
16:30 – Diligent
A few of these come with question marks against them so this looks an excellent opportunity for DILIGENT to build on his recent Wincanton hunter chase second and open his account for his current yard. Former-winner Zamparelli could emerge as the chief threat if back on song, with Fix At All also not discounted if backing up his recent course and distance success.
