With 222 yards added. Whether form horse Jupiter Du Gite can give a much more composed performance is the key question, while Iberico Lord’s wind operation might also have an important bearing. It is therefore tricky to approach this puzzle with much confidence but BEAU BALKO is probably best placed to take advantage if Jupiter Du Gite again proves too headstrong. Soft ground is the concern for Dancila, while Samuel Spade needs a second look despite his recent performance at the Cheltenham Festival.

With 153 yards added. It’s worth giving THE GREY FALCO (nap) a chance to build on his latest Southwell third as that was only his second outing for the Ben Pauling yard and he’s well treated over fences judged on his hurdle form. Last weekend’s Bangor scorer Feel The Pinch may give him most to do.

With 297 yards added. Malina Ocarina and Captain Jack (second choice) should both have a good run in them but WEEBILL looks to have been found another good opportunity.
16:02 Lamanver Bel Ami
Due to rail movements this is being run over approximately 324 yards further than the official race distance. Despite the numbers, positive profiles are thin on the ground and this could go to LAMANVER BEL AMI on her first run for Joe Tizzard. She has won on the last two occasions she has returned from a significant absence. The Nicky Henderson-trained Propelled is feared most, with Dedanser another to consider.

16:37 Go Steady
With 180 yards added. Soft ground would leave some with more to prove but should not be a problem for last month’s C&D winner GO STEADY. Far less experienced over fences, Dom Of Mary could nevertheless prove the chief threat after his very close call at Huntingdon. Quoi De Neuf is third on the list.
17:12 Banteer
With 222 yards added. Six of these found only one too good on their most recent outings. Pick of the bunch could be BANTEER who went off favourite on his debut at Exeter and was beaten off only inside the final furlong. Mount Etna and Lord Of Thunder, recent recruits from pointing, have joined powerful yards and command respect, although even bigger threats could come from Westerninthepark (second choice) and Chevington.
