Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
KITBAG was a C&D winner on his second 2yo outing. Yet to win a handicap but he looked on the way back when second of 11 at Wolverhampton 18 days ago, drawing clear of the third. 1lb rise to contend with but he’ll be a danger to all if returning at the same level.
This year RUBINA ROSE has been racing freely and carrying head high. Hooded and upped to 9.4f when well backed at Wolverhampton five weeks ago in her second handicap, delivered late on and running on well for a clearcut win. 5lb higher today but has stamina in the pedigree and probably more to give.
CHRIS COOL is a soft-ground novice hurdle winner who ran well when runner-up over C&D (good) last month on his second chase start. Has potential in this sphere if and when his jumping comes good, but that wasn’t the case when soundly beaten here (2m5f, good) last time.
DARVER STAR was third in 2020 Champion Hurdle and did well over hurdles at a lower level last year when winning three in a row in conditions races. Outclassed in the Hatton’s Grace when last seen in December. Won on chase debut and was very highly tried as a novice but it was quite apparent he didn’t enjoy jumping fences. First chase start for well over a year.
