15:52 – Exeter – Young Bull – Weekender
YOUNG BULL hasn’t seen much racing since 2019; finished a well-held third at Haydock (2m5f, soft) on his only run this season and is still seeking a first success over fences (0-5); probably has to find something for the cheekpieces if he’s to put that right. Has the speed though and could impress.
16:00 – Limerick – Falco Blitz – Irish Daily Star
Four-time winner for Nicky Henderson; FALCO BLITZ was a moderate fourth behind the talented Maskada in the Tim Duggan Memorial here in December; two poor runs since then, tailed off when dropped in class at Thurles a month ago. Can run better and should do so here.
16:20 – Naas – Sunchart – Racing Post
Decent sort, though has won only once from 18 Flat starts; just denied in this class over 1m4f in November and should be fit after two spins over hurdles in the winter; runner-up in this in 2021, so has to be on the shortlist.
17:18 – Carlisle – President Scottie – The Irish Field
11-2, only fifth on last month’s debut at Ayr (2m, good to soft) and others have better form; however, PRESIDENT SCOTTIE has something to build on and his stable is firmly in the winners; no surprise if he’s bang there.
