13:23 – Ed Keeper

Si Elegant showed more than enough to suggest he can win a maiden hurdle soon when second at Newcastle last month and he probably won’t go down without a fight, but ED KEEPER split two next-time-out winners when going close at Chepstow in January and looks the one to beat.

13:58 – Walk In The Storm

This can go to WALK IN THE STORM, who was second in a big field on her recent handicap debut and might be seen to even better effect over today’s longer trip. The other mare Lady Berlais finished behind the selection last time but she has a similar profile and also makes significant appeal. Broomfields Cave didn’t look wildly enthusiastic when a beaten favourite on his latest outing but he probably still has potential too, as does handicap debutant Ffree Pedro.

14:33 – Risk DArgent

Twotwothree ran well three weeks ago and may benefit from today’s drop back in trip but the suggestion is RISK DARGENT. He hasn’t exactly made a spectacular start to his chasing career, but was suited by the return to a left-handed track when fourth at Uttoxeter last month and is on a tempting mark if judged on hurdling form. Muse Of Fire, Heritier and Blueberry Wine are others to consider.

15:08 – El Muchacho

Tanganyika has scope to progress from last month’s Carlisle win but another chance can be given to EL MUCHACHO (NAP), who didn’t fire in a valuable Kelso handicap three weeks ago but looked very progressive at around 2m beforehand and could quite plausibly improve again over today’s longer trip. Jungle Jack is next on the list.

Bangor

15:43 – Rock Hurley

It’s not easy to tell whether he’s on a good mark for today’s British debut but ROCK HURLEY created a very good visual impression when winning twice in France in December and most of his rivals here have questions to answer, so he gets the vote. Fostersisland posted a good effort at Ayr last month and is second choice.

16:18 – Feuille De Lune

Course and distance winner Methodtothemadness returns here on a hat-trick and has very obvious claims but an opponent with significant potential is ex-pointer FEUILLE DE LUNE, who moves back up in trip after a pretty good 2m4f run in January and remains unexposed under rules.

16:53 – Feel The Pinch

Last year’s winner FEEL THE PINCH is handicapped to go well again and he was running a big race when falling back here on his final start for Fergal O’Brien. Ballabawn ran well at Ludlow and should improve on that form now going left-handed. Hollow Ron needs checking in the betting.
