13:55 Clonmel – Youralwaysdreamin (Irish Sun)

With yesterday’s winner Carbon King out of the way, this looks as though it will fall the way of YOURALWAYSDREAMIN. Boothen Boy may have enough ability left to be a danger.

14:50 Wetherby – Fulgurix (Racing Post)

The return to a slow surface could benefit Ladronne and Gallic Geordie (second choice) but preference is for FULGURIX, who returns from a break with his trainer Richard Newland enjoying a fine March.

15:50 Market Rasen – Hard Frost (The Times)

This is a tricky puzzle but it might be worth chancing the chasing debutant HARD FROST, who has blown rather hot and cold in his light career but went down by just a neck in his penultimate race over hurdles. You Say Nothing is second choice.

16:45 Plumpton – Downsman (The Sun)

Good Time Ahead could arguably have been raised more than 6lb for last month’s emphatic Lingfield win and is not opposed lightly, but fairly useful Flat-racer DOWNSMAN has shown enough in his three qualifying runs over hurdles to suggest he can be a potent threat in this grade of handicap hurdle, and he gets the vote. Martin Spirit can also feature.
