Horse Racing tips: A 6/1 pick tops the list under lights on Saturday

The Racing Post like the look of Six Strings in the 18:00.

Wolverhampton Races

Wolverhampton betting tips:

17:30 – Deed Pole
18:00 – Six Strings
18:30 – Due Date
19:00 – Nolton Cross (NAP)
19:30 – Lexington Knight
20:00 – Revolutionise
20:30 – Misty Ayr

17:30 – Deed Pole

The hat-trick-seeking Mirabello Bay should go well despite his penalty, while Beautiful Star, Strike Alliance (second choice) and handicap newcomers Dame Sarra, Soothing Blaze and Terry Two Jags also have something to recommend them. DEED POLE has been knocking at the door since moving into handicaps, though, and this longer trip could spark something extra.

18:00 – Six Strings

Buachaill boasts recent winning form and that has to count for something at this level. Miss Elsa, Crazy Spin, Quoteline Direct (second choice) and Twistaline will all have their supporters but SIX STRINGS could be the answer. He has his quirks but ran out a ready winner here in January on his last start at this level.

18:30 – Due Date

Erosion Risk sets the standard and has been ultra-reliable this winter but connections now turn to a visor, he’s drawn widest and his limitations do seem to have been established. He should go well but there are some interesting alternatives. Dubai Dawn and Concon Candy are newcomers of note but the well-bred DUE DATE might be the answer. He was badly in need of the experience on his Kempton debut in October but he appeals as the type to leave that run miles behind him this year.

19:00 – Nolton Cross (NAP)

Zealot has carried all before him since the cheekpieces went on but his stamina for 1m4f is an unknown. Buxted Too is another in serious form, while Obsidian Knight and Whimsy also have something to recommend them, but NOLTON CROSS (NAP) may well be able to resume winning ways. Impressive over C&D last month, he should find this race proving more of a stamina test than his latest outing where he was outsprinted in the straight.

19:30 – Lexington Knight

Jacks Profit (second choice) comes here on the back of a hurdle wn and can go well, while Infinitive still has time to do better and she can’t be ruled out. LEXINGTON KNIGHT won twice over C&D last year, though, and he hasn’t been beaten far in either start this year. He gets the tentative vote.

20:00 – Revolutionise

None come into this in better form than Follow Your Heart who bids for a four-timer but the outside stall may scupper his chances. Justcallmepete has continued to run well since returned to 7f and should go well from his good draw, but REVOLUTIONISE looks interesting. He is usually seen in higher grade on the AW but the drop into a Class 4 did the trick over C&D in November and it could do so again.

20:30 – Misty Ayr

Recent C&D scorer Victoria Falls must enter calculation if the visor has the desired effect for a second time, while Plumette (second choice) also arrives on the back of a course success and ought to be in the shake-up once more. However, MISTY AYR has slipped to a handy-looking mark and can gain an overdue victory now she is stepped back up in trip after her good recent third here.
